you know in an RPG, how you select the silliest option in the dialogue menu first- does that explain why this timeline is the way it is? is this the cycle where the universe selects for amusement

Made an interactive exhibit with multiple Robot Butterflies. Plus a projector and Kinect! Linked robots up to a MQTT server running on a Pi with a lil router. Bowie's power pack was recycled into that project. Here's a walkthrough to prove it happened in real reality! www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7lI...

the hungry flower is doing! As of the beginning of this week I successfully got her flapping, spinning, and glowing without any added slop or grind! The whole process felt good and right again. I'm beyond grateful for that🌱 I edited a short update with the details: #robotics

Midsummer is upon us. May we all find something sticky and delicious to adorn our skin with this week🍉 #summer

An illustrated comic of three humans garbed in bed sheets and crowns made from long feather-like leaves. Arms outstretched in offering to the crescent moon, devoured watermelon rinds also in the same crescent shape. They celebrate the middle of summer by enjoying fruit.

The way to win at hide and seek with grubby is to become very still. Then you'll notice the leafs that are wiggling and twitching. The twitchy leafs almost always have grubby underneath them. They stir in a way that couldn't be the wind

a large hornworm caterpillar lays in the palm of a hand while clinging to a tiny branch. Their front feet arched upward in the sphinx position as if praying.

010

Sarah Petkus @spetku.bsky.social · 06/07/2025

I knew they were there. I saw them last night. They were clinging to a bare branch of the pumpkin tree. just an inconspicuous pickle amongst bright orange fruit. I told them I'd come back for them in the morning, hoping they wouldn't eat the remaining leaves of the tree over night. It was a gamble.

A thick fully grown caterpillar clings to the middle of a half eaten leaf. Their long black hash lines shade their back, filling in the space between their white diagonal markings

Back in 2022 we played a lot of Elden Ring. That was also the year Mark and I undertook constructing a large greenhouse to sustain a hundred tomato saplings and other flora. These two experiences took on a shared meaning. I became a gardener and a tomato plant helped me grow🍅 #gardening

Spent a couple days modeling Atari 2600 cartridges yet only to have them be barely noticeable in the final game ( the wider shot). But there's love in those details. Next is five other old-school game console carts on shelves. I think it will help the scene feel "rich". #gamedev #daz3d #atari2600
