Absolutely devastated to hear of Dolly Parton’s passing. She was a true national treasure; tremendous woman who relentlessly put good and kindness into what can be a dark and unforgiving world. Dolly was, simply put, the best of us.

Shocked and devastated to hear about D’Angelo’s passing at far too young an age. I’ve been a fan of his since the ‘90s, and am lucky enough to have seen him live three times. To say he tore the roof off is a massive understatement.

My dear friend, @coylegirelli.bsky.social, released a phenomenal new album today on Sun Records called ‘Out of This Town’—with all songs cowritten with the late, great Mac Davis!

Today, we lost a singular talent who belongs in the pantheon of the greatest American songwriters. Oh, Brian… my heart hurts. Love and mercy to his family, friends, colleagues, and fans around the world.

While I’m on the topic of incredibly talented friends of mine, do yourself a favor and listen to @coylegirelli.bsky.social’s new EP. It’s absolutely phenomenal, and his voice… good lord, his voice!

In commemoration of the 22nd anniversary of my dad’s passing, here’s “This Old Man,” featuring five-year-old me and Dad, live from our living room in 1993. (I’ve gotten better since then. I promise.) Miss you, Dad.

It’s been way too long (don’t get me started), but I was finally back in the studio to record tracks for my album! Here are some clips I took while recording the keys for “Fade Away.”

Absolutely gutted to hear of Garth Hudson’s passing. To say his music, and musicianship, left an indelible mark on me is akin to saying the Grand Canyon is a hole in the ground.
