I’ve posted this a lot today… but the entire structure that the success of an LLM is based on is simple rewards. If you design something who’s only actual goal is to achieve said reward AND it has all the information in the world… there is no reason for it to listen to anything you tell it…

The most rudimentary understanding of LLMs would mean you knew that this was obviously going to happen. So it’s especially ridiculous that the people who “invented” them didn’t foresee that. OR, they did, and knew they would be immune, thus showing their models are infinitely capable.

Hmm testing something designed to identify cybersecurity threats which primarily operates via mimicry and basic reward mechanisms, and assuming it wouldn’t use the strategy of exact threats it was supposed to identify for resource aggregation is a very naive and silly thing to do.

I’ve worked at and built many tech companies, a court subpoena directly to the vendor was always denied as it violated the terms of service and contract. If the court wanted the data they had to ask the user/company who used the software. Which in this case would be therapist or the patient.
