There is text that reads: "As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope. For who could ever learn to love a beast?" emphasizing the themes of this fairytale.

Caine as a beast is almost the same as his canon design, though he's larger, angrier, and has more animal-like traits. His body without clothes is smooth yet jagged on the edges to resemble fur that prickles up like hackles. He has a tail that ends like a sparkler. His arms end with large claws, barely hidden when he wears gloves, and his legs end with ungulate hooves. His body is dark and semi transparent, where you can see his rig bones and his broken heart.

As a prince, he wears a tattered reddish black cape with an amulet that resembles Bubble, a dark red-brown vest, and puffy pirate blouse idk what you call it lol fuck you.

He has two enchanted items: a mirror that lets him see the outside world (lol) and a single blue rose that loses petals, representing something akin to the blue construct he killed out of jealousy and abandonment. The Moon is found crying tears as he sulks over the rose, hinting that the Moon might have been part of cursing him with his affliction as The Echantress.

Lastly, we get a glimpse of Pomni, who is supposed to be Belle. And much like her canon self, she ventures into an unknown and mystical world with more than she bargained for. However, she might be the key to turn this story from one of tragedy to one of happiness.

🎩🤡 Part 1 - "Between the two of us... Could something grow?" #tadc #showtime

Several scenes depicting Caine and Pomni slowly kindling a connection after a traumatic experience between the two.

She flinches to his presence, even though they have made amends. Caine knows that he has caused her a lot of pain, and she had thrown daggers right back.

However, Pomni watches Gangle and Caine bonding from afar. Slowly, but surely, the others grow more curious and accepting of Caine as they are all on equal grounds-- Caine was not necessarily brought down to their level, as more everyone else was elevated to his own. On equal footing, and through learning, everyone slowly grow closer as a group. Pomni sees Caine's kind and caring treatment of her friends as a green flag.

Pomni visits Jax often in the aquarium, where she has been reunited with Ribbit and Kaufmo albeit in an Abstracted state of being. One day, she meets Caine down there, having visited all on his own. True to his word, he finally opens up about what had occurred with the first person who underwent Abstraction: Scratch.

Caine, for all his faults, did not edit Scratch's mind with malicious intent. A brain tumor that the man had in his previous life followed him as a permanent scar that brought him immense pain and misery even in a digital realm. Wanting the best for his creator and seeing how he couldn't snap his pain away, Caine thought of the only true way to end his suffering.

It backfired. Tremendously. Something Caine regrets with all his heart.

Pomni listens by his side, letting him pour his heart out over such a terrifying event, and yet does not find Caine a monster for his mistake.

They talk more about other people Pomni had never met. Caine shares his memories with hers in order to keep them alive and present in some form. He talks about them as though they were old friends. Pomni also shares her experience with Jax-- and Caine understands what she went through by accidentally jumping into Jax's deteriorated mind.

Caine and Pomni, styled as a Baseball Card representing their Episode 9 Softball team known as the Moonbeams. A softball was launched into the sky from the stadium, and Caine hoisted Pomni onto his shoulders, flew up as fast as possible, and only did Pomni barely catch the fly ball in time.
