I would love to hear what guitar tones on famous records sounded like before they were fully mixed or tweaked with outboard gear. Would really open some eyes to the process. Might give us all some excuses to not be afraid to try some things

Hordes Of Chaos is an immensely underrated Kreator album.

Wild that I just walked into my local grocery store and they’re playing Dio ‘Rainbow In The Dark’ Never thought I’d ever experience that.

I think I’ve decided I will never set foot in a Guitar Center ever again. That company is just cursed. Broken beyond repair.

Having to wake up at 4:30-5AM has been quite the adjustment 😴

Been trying to stay off social media when I can for the fact that I have a lot of catching up to do with my musical projects, but perhaps these little messages here are enough for my bandwidth for now.

I’m seriously super thankful for all the inquiries I’ve gotten recently regarding mixing and mastering services! 🙏 It’s something I tremendously love doing, and it feels good to assist my friends with their musical projects! 🧡🤘

Sacramento is pretty underrated. Sure, it gets insanely hot during the summer but it’s got super rad music venues and bands, a kickass food scene, and the arts seem to be abundant throughout. The diversity is also notable. Winter/Spring time is lovely there. Curious to see how it is in the fall.

Had one of the best weekends I’ve had in a LONG time. Saw a kickass show w/ Sarah in Sacramento seeing Year Of The Cobra 🐍 Then we traveled to Nevada City & explored the town! A very cute and old-timey place ✨ Then yesterday, had lunch with family & then worked on Slug mixes 🤘🤘 Exciting Stuff!

This country didn’t fight for independence from a British Monarchy just to turn around 250 years later and elect a self-proclaimed “King” Wake the f*ck up.

Cleaning the house and getting it more put together always provides a boost to the mental health ✨ Sarah and I spent our Valentine’s weekend making an even better space for ourselves. I think it’ll make a huge difference 🧡💚

Good god, I can’t even read a guitar world article without the damn page crashing every 3 minutes or simply shifting because of them being riddled with ads. Almost makes me wanna go back to trying to buy the physical magazines again.

Death Magnetic is the best post 2000’s Metallica album. The closest they ever got to touching the classic era musically. If you get past the production, it’s got some riffs. I don’t care what anyone says.

It feels good to be recovering from being in a mental fog and funk these past few months. I’m not 100%, but progress is being made and I can see it. Really trying my best to push through the madness and focus on the things that I enjoy.

Day 2 of Reeking Slug recording. 4 out of 6 songs down! Tackling the rest of the songs this upcoming Sunday! It’s sounding immense so far! 💪🤘

I feel like I haven’t played guitar in what feels to be ages. Knocking the dust off the ‘ol chops and re-acquainting with some riffs for some of the upcoming Charonyx material. This little Positive Grid Spark GO packs a punch! Nice for when I don’t feel like plugging in my full rig 🎸⚡️

Having a high speed rail system spread out across the US to every major city would be such an awesome way to travel, would cut back on pollution, and be much safer overall. Too bad we probably won’t ever see that come into fruition in our lifetime.

One of the worst feelings is when you pay for food that’s on the pricier side and it sucks.

Finally having a slightly more chill day at work and getting caught up on some things. Also been listening to A LOT of Jazz this week and feeling more inspired. Hope this kind of energy continues 🧡⚡️

Sometimes it’s hard being an INFJ because you feel so much of the world around you so immensely. It definitely has an effect on my energy levels. I’m really bummed about the state of our country.

Hearing someone in an airport restaurant mentioning AI writing songs for you and saying it’s cool, makes me want to scream internally as someone who works incredibly hard to write songs.

Finally got around to fully listening to the new Opeth album on my walk home. It’s good! Not as “heavy” as the media made it out to be. Mikael only growls in like 3 songs. Very cinematic. Better than the last 2 for sure. I especially enjoy the back half. Their next album will be better I think.

Today I start my fitness journey of walking home from work instead of driving. It’ll be the equivalent of essentially walking a 5k every evening during the week. I’m excited! 😁

Gonna give BlueSky a try. I’ve heard from friends and colleagues that it’s been working out for them well enough so far. Definitely interested in the idea that it’s a more ‘old school’ approach to social media, which is refreshing.
