ticking off boxes can feel thrilling. it signals we're moving forward, that what we're doing matters. but what if you keep working and find that you aren't closer to where you want to be? we lose track of what actually sticks. better to move like a turtle who remembers than a sprinter who forgets.

eek.. i have been sick nearly the entire january with a recently confirmed same-family-as-covid virus.. TT_TT i think it lands that the last drawings i made were about impatience. this has been pretty much been a meta-to-life practice in trusting the process

this is about the unglamorous gutter of the waiting game. you know you need the inner work for personal growth, that this phase is necessary in becoming yourself. still, imposter syndrome strikes. you fall into self-punishment or rumination.

been trying to be more unpolished these days. it's so different in concept vs. practice... in a world that always shows polished work, it's easy to form this subconscious belief that we need that quality at the get-go, too our nervous systems need resets, anything worth doing is worth doing poorly

as a perfectionist, our deep strive for excellence is public enemy number 1. anything less than that feels like a disservice to something, but that something is just the idea of who we think we should be. it's unfair to how much work is put into being who you are today. let's give ourselves credit
