That's not all! Anyone willing to take on SFOTH IV's secret challenge can bring home a copy of How to Build a Happy Home! This book will teach you everything you need to know to earn that Bricksmith badge... Just remember to save your work before inserting the explosives! #Roblox

A pop-up book of Roblox's Happy Home being blown to bits! Inside the book is the text "Try inserting a rocket launcher!" The back reads "Every Bricksmith has to start somewhere, and what better place is there to start than your own Happy Home? Learn the basics of building, and get a jump-start on making your own game on Roblox! Success guaranteed or your robux back!"

Got the chance to make the Duel of the Heights for The Hunt: Roblox 20! I've been on here since I was just ten years old, and since then I've never stopped wanting to create. Thank you Roblox and Twin Atlas, excited to see what the future brings! #Roblox

Trust me, I get why it's charming. It's a unique style that only shows up in a handful of hats from before your time... But whenever someone claims "This rendering issue from Summer 2020 is so retro!!" it just reminds me of SEGA's Atgames Plug'n'Play with awful audio emulation.

retro is when hat shading is bad

Comparing nine different classic Roblox hats from how they used to look +15 years ago to today. The old engine uses soft shading, while the modern engine uses the older normals data to heavily emphasize lumps in the 3D shape.

There's a decent chunk of my backlog which hasn't released due to being too close to official Roblox designs. Might rework those items in the future, but right now my focus is on my avatar item work with Twin Atlas on Roblox events.

How much of the price increase is going to the devs?

Ivy @spectaqual.bsky.social · 18/04/2025

Been shopping for UGC eggs recently, and it's so disappointing finding a cool design only for it to be a timed offer from ages ago. Already bad enough we still got official Roblox eggs which should still go Limited, why add onto the pile by locking your own eggs behind FOMO?

Before converting the Curves, you can use the Resolution values. One under Shape as "Resolution Preview U", and one under Geometry > Bevel. After converting, you can use Edge Slides to do more manual cleanup in areas where you know you don't need the extra tris.

Sculpting this might be a little much. I'd suggest curve geometry for the hair, and modeling a simple cap, using proportional editing to bend it into your more stylized shape. The beard is pretty sharp so you might be able to get away with just placing vertices and connecting them together.

I think you need to reconsider your views on Sonic the Hedgehog. While some may see these lyrics as a sign of hope, Sonic would never experience pain. Any time it looked like Sonic was too close to an enemy, grandpa would unplug the TV and say "Why don't you go back to spinning straw?" Oh, pity!

the transphobes are all coming here now that we have left Twitter because they need someone to harass and abuse. without that they have nothing to connect or drive them. nothing to feel like they are pushing back against. They need us. we don't need them. don't give them a moment of your time.

Been hooting this horn for a minute, do not make the mistake of seeing this site start gaining traction and putting all your eggs and community here. Build a mailing list, send out newsletters, get a website. Not a discord, not a blog hosted on another social media site, an actual website you own.

This Halloween, I've built up my Bossbot Cog Disguise all the way to a Big Cheese Lvl 50! Just don't let the CEO know I dropped my emblem on the way to the dining hall, or I might be sent back to the playground before I have a chance to throw some cake! #Toontown #ToonEnough

Broken up into three images since this site has a tiny character limit, and I can't fit everything in one alt text field.

We're here, my second post in a year! Exciting! For months now, the stewing thoughts of social media and online presence have been on the back burner, slowly bubbling and infusing flavors across all the little brain slices crowding the surface. Try a bite.. and it's disgusting, of course it is!

The internet builds a reflection of our own world, the "metaverse" that the suits love to harp about has always been here. Neighborhoods to paint a space your own, worlds to meet friends old and new - and in the honeymoon phase it's easy to think this'll last forever. Too big to fall. Where'd they go? You get front row seats to the desire paths people carve moving from MySpace to Tumblr to Twitter to who knows where. Y'all saw a dozen different options last year when we thought Twitter was imploding, but everything I've seen still has the same trust problem we've been dealing with for years.

Where's your autonomy? Your artwork, information, rights, hand it over. Can't upload anything without it being fed into the AI machine that shareholders begged for, can't send a message without being "banned" until you kindly hand over a verified phone number, can't even step foot inside without signing a forced arbitration agreement promising you won't sue them for allowing rampant discrimination across their website! It's almost enough to make you forget that the site can just shut down one day without any chance to grab your contacts, images, posts, and whatever else they scrape from you. They expect you to settle in and call this home?!

So, what's next for a refined goober such as myself? No idea. The thought of going through that entire process all over again leaves me disgusted. Most of my posts on Twitter these days boil down to the fact it's still got eyeballs, but I've cut down a lot. Obviously I'll still be around, with what the internet has become it's hard to truly escape it when sites like YouTube and Twitch monopolize their branches of the web... But someday, I'd love to step away from it all. Make a website to share my art and write blog posts, from a device which isn't beaming every little fun fact about me to the highest bidder. Somewhere that can't be taken away. Until then? Floating, drifting where the waves take me.

Maybe the world rapidly approaching uninhabitable heat isn't so bad after all...

010

Ivy @spectaqual.bsky.social · 18/10/2023

Nah that's a good reason, our minds are silly putty. Doesn't look like it'd be tricky for someone to make a quick 'n' simple browser extension to change the BG color, was able to change a few things with basic Inspect Element.

Ivy @spectaqual.bsky.social · 30/09/2023

hey you know that off now who said you could over here? hmm?

Easily, we've got pictures of people who're absolutely covered in bees, why would it be any different for an unfathomable amount of spiders?

so. fun fact of the 21st century; im here now! hiii! gonna set up a nice lawn chair here and get comfy, just in case, y'know. my super gaming house gets destroyed by some sort of unfortunate agricultural consequences… but that'd never happen, right?
