Very khajiit chic right now, which absolutely perks my ears. :) Excited to see how it turns out!

You're not the first person I've heard that from. Kinda sad. I loved the convention, but I just can't swing it during the week. Shame that that's what it came to with the venue.

It's been a couple of years since I made the digital version, but I finally painted RedXIII. It would have been much more of a struggle to get to this point back then. #FFVII #RedXIII

It's really great to see the generous response for the FA funding drive. Something to keep in mind though is that FA will continue to have operating costs going into the future. Monthly contributions a la FA+ subscriptions help make the site more sustainable on a continuing basis.

And just like that, it's pumpkin pickin' time again. Pick a winner, Red! Lots of carving to do and pumpkin spice drinks to make!

Red XIII picks a pumpkin for carving or for eating or for both. He holds it in his mouth as he walks through a forested pumpkin patch.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is, no exaggeration, one of the most beautiful and emotional visual and auditory experiences I have ever had in gaming. It has a line to my soul in the same way that Outer Wilds does. And it's on sale for $2.99 on Steam right. Please check it out if you haven't already.

FA was and continues to be the largest by-furries, for-furries service on the web. Losing it would be a huge blow to the community and the artists who rely on it for commissions. If there is any way you can support the site, even if it's just sending a few bucks a month via FA+, please consider it.

Oh yeah, definitely. Privacy is important. I had an issue where there was a Wikifur page for me with my real name on it, and I was genuinely floored. I think a fursuit photo site is not quite as urgent or abrasive as that, but like I said in my original comment, I get where the concern comes from.

SpecLion ➡️ Avoiding FF7 Spoilers @spectacledlion.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I def understand where you're coming from, but for me, I appreciate having a centralized place where I can go to find pictures of my suit that might otherwise have disappeared into the ether. Plus, internet privacy I think is largely a myth anymore -- everything you do is monitored and tracked.

131

SpecLion ➡️ Avoiding FF7 Spoilers @spectacledlion.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I think part of it is that fursuiters want pictures of themselves. Like, really, really want pictures of themselves. They aren't out there sweating their balls off for the heck of it. Since most photographers don't post all their pictures or don't tag suiters when they do post them, this is nice.

Anyway, what did it to me this time was discovering @hyenablood.yeen.world's beautiful music via their new Boreal II album. And true to form, I feel really appreciative of this community, the incredible people in it, and the experiences they share through their artwork. bsky.app/profile/hyen...

All of a sudden, artwork and music and memories are hitting me really deep, and I'm tearing up and becoming nostalgic and being really appreciative of the people and communities I have in my life. Maybe it's depression. Maybe I'm just sentimental. IDK.

SpecLion ➡️ Avoiding FF7 Spoilers @spectacledlion.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I know I'm far from unique in this, but I have this thing where I slowly become emotionally numb without realizing it, and I'm just kinda floating along without really feeling anything. And then I have an experience that reawakens my emotions, and it's kinda overwhelming and wonderful.

Dumbest motherfucker I've seen in my life. And I've seen some dumb motherfuckers. That he has been put into a position of any kind of power at all is an indictment against humanity. Alabama should be embarrassed, and if he had a brain in his head, he would be embarrassed too.

I've been watching back through Broad City on Hulu the past month or so, and I am just enjoying it so much. I've had more belly laughs over the last month watching the show than I think I've had over the past year. I'd forgotten how much I love it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNkx...

Good news is there's no ambiguity or subtext or contextual meaning in language, so there's no way that anything could be misinterpreted or missed by AI-automated toxicology reports that would result in victims being punished while bullies are ignored or promoted. This a fine and good idea.

Saying goodbye to this guy this #FursuitFriday. He's a beauty, but I've not done a good job of actually wearing him. So he's going to a new home where I know he'll be loved and taken care of -- and who knows? He might even see some action at cons and events like he deserves. Catch you later, bud. ❤️

I did a pretty good job of avoiding spoilers in the lead up to Rebirth. I got spoiled about the existence of Red's dance in the Shinra suit, but I was able to click off of it so that I only knew "there is some spinning and pointing." We'll see if I'm as successful with Revelation.

I am officially in my "NO SPOILERS" phase for the next FF7 game. Games like this don't come along for me very often, so I want my reactions going in to be as genuine as possible. I'm not naive enough to think I'm going to go 7 months online without getting spoiled, but I'm going to actively try.
