I’m not … particularly sure. I mean, I am very close with Azure. But I have also been open to loving others. Such was common as well. And … I suppose i’m also quite close with other people! Elliot is a dear friend of mine. I haven’t formed a close bond with too many other people yet.

I … have never really thought about it. Where I came from, who you love didn’t matter as long as they didn’t become a barrier between yourself and the Spawn. And … being neutral is the best way to be the most loyal without worrying of the specifics of identity. . . . Does that count ?

A deep , loving bond is needed for the ritual. Azure had left long before the day, and Two Time needed to be perfect. The Spawn doesn’t accept quitters. They’d agreed. A second mentor had been in their life. Kinder, almost familial even from younger ages. Two Time gained favor. At what cost.
