There's something so reassuring and heartwarming about seeing the dog I raised and loved for 13 years just absolutely falling over himself to melt into cuddles on the man we've lived with for 6 months. I'm so glad that my partner and I get to share the all consuming love of my boy.

Cozy Grove is a nice one if you've not looked into it. Kind of a similar if less filled out Animal Crossing vibe but with ghost bears and daily stories. Its a game that asks you yo keep coming back every day

Took a friend out for their very first birding adventure today. We were rewarded with quite possibly the best look at a Fox Sparrow I've ever had. Lad was straight posing in the open for us. It was a good day.

I'm so glad Suyan had a gentle guide to the end. I'm also glad of the choice to only show her as she was, and not the ghost that utterly disturbed a crowd to full shudder when she turned to regard them. We know others see ghosts differently, but for Hawk and Suyan, they were only ever themselves. 🥺

Finally sitting down and fixing my budget after pretending it didn't exist for 3 months post move (aka weird existential goddamn limbo time). Thanks to @ynabofficial.bsky.social and @block15brewing.bsky.social for making the process feel easier, I owe you my life.

Today I explored the Laurelhurst of Portland for a neighborhood wide yard sale. We were hunting specifically for a dining table, though we came up empty handed (which is fair). I did however, walk away with some nursery pots and a pigeon plush. We got Great Notion and bbq tacos to soothe.

One thing my partner and I have been focused on most since moving is building up recipes and meals together. For our date night every week, we've been trying a new recipe. Please behold the fruits of our labor (more info in alt text). He's been right all along, I am a foodie at heart.

There was a FRIEND!! A FRIEND ON MY PATIO!!! It has been a long time since I lived somewhere that I would be able to invite birds closer. Over a decade in fact. I am so overjoyed to have the opportunity to put up feeders again.

Okay the couch has been given to loving new family, I found a missing crochet hook and my slippers, and I have two days until my POD drops. Progress is occurring slow and steady! I still would like to yell, but am being held together by my partner, bless him.
