Just a note, the game engine Godot is likely named for the book. Due to the popularity of the engine references to "Godot" instad of "Waiting for Godot" formatted as a title will likely be mistaken for the engine. Good advertising for the book though! Quote is from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godot_(...

Over the course of the following ten years, the engine was renamed to "Legacy", "NG3D", "Larvita" and finally to "Godot". The name "Godot" was chosen in reference to Samuel Beckett's play Waiting for Godot, as it represents the wish of continually adding new features to the engine, which would get it closer and closer to (though never reaching) an unfinished project.

It's amazing to me that Google keeps pushing requirements on (mostly independent, estimated at almost 50%) developers without making the tools developers are forced to use (Google Play Console) robust, simple, and fast.

New app quality requirements on Google Play

Hi Google Play Developer,

To help you proactively minimize the impact of the recently announced Android memory limits and ensure a fast, reliable, and secure experience to users, Google Play is introducing two new quality requirements:

Reducing app memory usage and optimizing code: We are establishing performance thresholds across dynamic memory usage, bitmap usage, and code optimization to prevent unexpected on-device terminations on Android. Recognizing the distinct technical needs and user behavior for apps and games, we have tailored specific criteria for each.

•

Providing a secure & seamless device migration experience: As part of our broader commitment to elevate app quality across the ecosystem, we’re also introducing a new onboarding standard for app developers to give users a secure way to upgrade devices.

To ensure you have the support needed to successfully adapt, we have already begun rolling out new tools in Play Console and published a comprehensive technical guide detailing the performance thresholds for each, apps and games.
