As much as I complain about the lack of content in #MarioKartWorld the environment really is amazing #gaming #art

Look as long as no AI was used for game assets I guess it’s whatever I wish they didn’t use it at all because they don’t need it. Even using it for examples for artists follow makes like no sense because the examples should be prior crazy taxi games

I pray we get Mario Kart World DLC and at LEAST some mention of the next 3D Mario title. Feels like this direct could make a statement

SpagDretti @spagdretti.bsky.social · 08/06/2026

Second disagreement is the discounting of legacy titles that deliver. Forza yes is a redress of past titles but still is a high quality system selling title. That can’t be discarded. It’s exactly that type of quality that will make or break the new leadership for XBOX. So credit where credit is due

I read your piece it’s well written. However I disagree on two fronts. Gears E day is absolutely as beloved as TLOU 2 if not more. You might not appreciate that but even just the traction to the initial teaser with “mad world” playing moved many to tears. Gears E day so far looks high quality.

Yeah I have no doubt this generation will be the best yet, gonna be hard to top switch 1 but DK Bananza really is a game of the generation type game

010

SpagDretti @spagdretti.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Hey when compare to the Switch 1 I think it falls short, but it was better than the PS5 and Xbox by a whopping margin

SpagDretti @spagdretti.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Well I meant launch year, I would much rather have BOTW and Odyssey over everything but DK bananza. DK is the best Nintendo game I have ever played though and I will say though switch 2 3rd party has been incredible to me so maybe I am being a bit to harsh

SpagDretti @spagdretti.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Forgot about that, Kirby was an A- and Mario kart world was a B- to me

010

SpagDretti @spagdretti.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Kinda is, the switch 1 launch was an A+ This switch 2 had some underwhelming aspects like game key, no wallpapers or achievements and the games are more mixed then anyone thought

100

SpagDretti @spagdretti.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Definitely low, this kind of rounds out a B level launch year for Switch 2 DK Banaza: A+ Legends Z/A: B+ Drag x Drive: D- Welcome tour: F Metroid: TBD but looking like a B Remasters and upgrades were nice though

Overall, this game might be the best Nintendo game of all time. It is the type of adventure you never want to see end. It is also proof that with enough time, effort and care you can make a game become an EXPERIENCE. And can you really put a price on that?
