For my latest YouTube video, I used a tiny amount of an ElevenLabs avatar (of me) for ~30 seconds total video (using my real voice) across six segments. There’s also 10 seconds of stock video from Envato of real people in a pretend data center. The other 20 minutes is all me. ❤️

Finished editing part 4 of my DVDNow kiosk restoration series. To make the machine usable I had do a lot of technical problem solving — and making that both funny and interesting has been a challenge. I think I got pretty close. It’s premiering tomorrow night!

Fixed everything in our Williams Black Knight 2000 pinball this past week. Removed the decrepit original battery holder, cleaned the board with vinegar, added a bodge wire to fix a battery acid destroyed trace & got all the switches to be great again.

Cleaned up my sister’s 1979 era Barbie Dream House and put it on the mantle. The wife plans to populate it. Need to figure out how to secure it as it’s relying on gravity and fulcrum math to stay put.

Fully working! Tantalum capacitor replace fixed the 12V fuse blowing issue. New op amp chip fixed missing pew-pew shooting sound. New joystick stick and buttons and a little cleaning and she's back, baby.

Perplexed why this JROK Q*Bert board and ArcadeShop JAMMA to Taito adapter were not working until this evening when I realized both had major soldering problems. The vertical sync pin (left) and the ENTIRE fucking solder side on the adapter weren't soldered at all. Talk about sloppy workmanship.
