First time I’ve cleaned/ trimmed plants in the terrarium in a lomnnng time . Looks like all the plants continue to do well and the snails are still alive.

Top of an open terrarium with all the plants grown right to the top. Sides are disgusting.

View from the side with the plants partially trimmed and the sides cleaned up.

I’ve done soooo many dangerous things in my life, but all the times I really hurt myself it was exactly like this.

My theory of alt-text is similar to the use of footnotes: at minimum, it serves an important function for sharing information, and it can also be a vehicle for taking a moderately funny post to the sublime while doing so, a la the classic Pratchett footnote.

Sharpless 101 (Sh 2-101) is a H II region[1] emission nebula located in the constellation Cygnus. It is sometimes also called the Tulip Nebula because it appears to resemble the outline of a tulip when imaged photographically. It was catalogued by astronomer Stewart Sharpless in his 1959 catalog of nebulae. It lies at a distance of about 6,000 light-years (5.7×1016 km; 3.5×1016 mi) from Earth.

Oh boy I bet there some spicy hilarity in this Reddit thread.

I remember doing wild shit with full ass grown adults when I was teen in the 90s. Didn’t see a thing wrong with it…. At the time.

I remember my grandmother’s awful fingers in her 50s and I’m terrified of ending up like that. Although…. I will say she never let it stop her from doing a thing.

Justin Bruening: Handyman Reporting For Duty

Just had a brief moment of personal pride. In the first Covid summer I built an office in an attic space directly adjacent to the oldest’s bedroom. I just realized despite there only being a single wall between, You can’t hear a thing between the rooms.

It’s a mix of environment+ spread by cloning/suckering. If you’re in a good stand of paw paws, there’s probably only 3 or 4 genetically distinct trees.

Yeah they commonly grow under other trees along all the waterways near me northwest of Atlanta. They grow in a thicker squatter shape with more fruit in full sun. Highly recommend.

They’re really not. Folks grow them in normal orchards. They just need a bit of sunscreen on their trunks for the 1st year and then they grow super well in full sun.

Wonderful trees. My 3rd year is 10’ tall now. While my 1st year grew from 6” to 6’ in one year.
