I have a infrared filter now. I took some test photos on my Canon EOS250D and my Lumix G97 and it is interesting how my much older Canon DSLR seems to block less IR light then my Lumix? At least I think that's whats going on. Ther is a bit more color separation.

slightly overexposed photo of some trees and houses with a Canon EOS250 + a Hoya Infrared R72 filter on. the leafs appear a bright pink color while the sky appears more orange.

same photo, but color balanced on the bright spots on the leafs. the shadows on the leafs and the houses appear a bright cyan, while the sky appear yellow.

similar photo but with a wider angle, also taken with the same filter on, but a different camera (Limux G97). The image is mostly orange, only bright areas appear yellow, but now color separation between the sky and the plants.

same image, but color balanced. There is some hint of cyan, but no orange or yellow. Also a noticeable hot spot in the center of the image.

I ordered an infra red screw-on filter and two BW IR film rolls. I'm very exited. The film rolls aren't "real" IR from their descriptions, but good for beginners and easy to develop.

Opti Colour has been shot. I think I keep the orange film can. It's so unique.

I got myself a better film holder and light source for scanning my negatives and I re-scanned some Harman Phoenix and it turns out the scans I got from the labs and my scans look very different.

New roll of film I got developed and scanned last week. Very happy with how they turned out. Also my first time ever shooting with Fujicolor film. I love the colors. #photography #analog #film

It's funny how I shoot with film and have this manual camera (Canon AE-1) I have to do almost everything myself, but also another digital one, that has all these neat, quality of life features that does most things for you. and I kinda like both?

hmm I discovered the Holga 120N PAN camera. It uses 120mm film instead of 35mm like I'm used to. But it's very cheap and it does panoramic. It's also very soft focus/blurry. But that is kinda the point, it's supposed to be simple and flawed/crappy. Not sure if I like the look tho. hmmmmmmm

Set up my Lumix G97 on my balcony last night at shot a long exposure of around 11 min. I thought I just give it a try and it worked really well. We had a very clear sky. Sadly no shooting stars/comets. #photography

The battery status of my EOS 500N is acting a little strange when I had it turned off for a while. I haven't taken a photo when it happened, but sometimes it will show the battery is almost empty, but turning it off and on again will sometimes fix it like here. The problem is, idk if this is correct

Got new 35mm film. Harman Phoenix 2 and Optik Oldschool OptiColour. I haven't tried either, but I liked some of the examples I could find online. Phoenix 2 is like Phoenix 1, which I have shot with before, but this one has more moderate contrast levels. That's the only difference I'm aware of.

2 of them are Harman Phoenix 2 (blue and white) and the other 2 are Optik Oldschool Opti Colour (cyan and orange).

Trying out two film stocks I haven't tried yet. Fujifilm 200 is pretty common/known I believe, but I never used it myself. And Ilfocolor 400 I never heard of before. It advertises itself as having a 60s vintage kind of look. Only has 24 exposures tho. and it is close to expire too. #photofilm

camera works and I got 38 exposures out of my 36 exposure film! Nice :3 ...now I hope the place I bought this from also developes this B&W film. I thought they use the standard B&W developer, but it looks like they use their own brand of developer. so I'm not suuure....

ok, this is such a weird way of showing the battery status xD so if you press the battery status button, in the viewfinder the aperture needle will be somewhere between f/2.8 and f/5.6 (2.8 being full and 5.6 being empty) But good to know. I def. didn't know that back in 2009.

good news I got reminded of my dads old Canon AE-1 that I last used in 2009 until the film advance lever got stuck. So I just decited to do a quick search on how to fix a AE-1 and the first result was exactly about my issue and it was super easy too. So yea, now I have 2 working film SLRs :D

I'm thinking about getting a tele-zoom lens for my EOS 500N I have kid zoom lenses, but only for EF-S mount, not EF The Canon EF 75-300mm 4-5.6 III looks good and it doesn't break the bank. Though its not the sharpest from what I read, especially at 75mm. But stepping down might help?

I bought some regular good old Kodak Gold 200, but this time I try something more advanced and shoot it at ISO-400. I read some about push/pull methods in film photography and I wanna try it. Kodak Gold has rather low contrast anyway I believe, so this could make it more interesting maybe.

The 135mm lens arrived today and I must say, first impression wasn't very good. At first I got scared I got the wrong lens-mount, but it does fit, it just looks weirdly small. I'm a little scared it will scratch or damage my camera over time tbh

Why is it so hard to find modern ~200mm prime lenses? Why is there a gap between 135 to 300mm when looking for prime lenses? yes, there are zoom lenses that cover that focal range, but not prime. whyyy? There are some vintage 200mm prime lenses, but they don't make modern ones for some reason.

I made some Hefezopf (braided sweet yeast bread) with shaved almonds and raises. The braid part didn't turn out so well, it just looks like a blob. But everything else turned out great, already tried a slice with some butter. #hefezopf #baking #backen #ostern #easter

My next film got developed and I really like how these turned out. I used Reto Amber T800 film I bought from Amazon and I really like the colors and how it adds this sorta orange glow around light sources. #photography #nightphotography #analogphotography #filmphotography

I got my photo negatives! I'm gonna scan and edit them over the next couple days. The prints look great already, I was worried about the exposure of the night photos, but most of them turned out surprisingly well. Can't wait to show some of them here.

I had some other weird moment last night too, where some dumb kids shot a firework rocket down a subway tunnel I tried to take photos of and half way through it exploded and the subway tunnel was full of smoke (which looked nice, sadly right at that moment my camera trigger wouldn't work and

I went on another night photography tour last night with my new low light film and I saw those nice light decorations on someones house and took a picture, but setting up the camera took a while and after I took the picture someone came out and just stared at me and didn't say anything
