the first level of the palace of the dead being filled with petrified adventurers, one grim description for each type, is such a great detail. those statues are awesome.

Despite being a war game, It is a very beautiful, reflexive and poetic one, esp if you go read the intra-diegetic bios of the named scribes and generals of the various armies. It oozes soul from every part and gameplay wise it's challenging and great. it's originally a mod of indie game vahrenturga
Flavia Talbot, A Scribe and her golem, from Gemi Ningen on Steam

you control commander units and their armies, each unit has its chaacteristiks and powers, there are lots of different types of ordinary soldiers and then you got the scribes and their various golems, from numerous units to unique terrifying monsters

Any RTS fan ought to give Shem Ha Mephorash a try just for its unique setting. You play as a young Scribe (meaning a jewish wizard that animate and control war golems by scribing runes on them) sent into the late 19th century Afghanistan as the two great colonial empires vie for control.
