Yama Uba @yamaubamusic.bsky.social · 15h
Our new EP, 'Horizon,' is out today for pre-release at yamauba.bandcamp.com ! Embracing the serenity of ethereal, dreamlike, and open sounds alongside bass-pumping, dance-worthy tracks, 'Horizon' explores with the deceptively simple act of being. Releases Nov 4 on @ratskinrecords.bsky.social
A musician with pink hair, white ornate shirt and black leopard pants stands in dreamy pink and blue light in front of a shiny pink and blue curtain. They are holding a "Yama Uba - Horizon" record, which has a pink and teal diamond graphic on a black background.

I’ve been releasing music DIY for 25yrs and I believe that should always be a viable option for artists. The double sale of Bandcamp was a wake up call so earlier this year, I joined Subvert.fm, a member-owned music distribution platform. As a co-op, Subvert can’t simply be sold to investors. 1/

in '95, Masada played a string of shows at Radio Valencia, a TINY cafe in SF. For one set, we were seated 1 foot away from Zorn, and for some reason we ordered Tomato soup and slurped this fragrant soup all during the set. Zorn glared down at us the whole show it was super awkward. Good music tho.
