Just came out of Digger. The critics were.... Wrong. WB is going to lose millions on it, but I'm glad the movie was made and I'm glad I watched it. It's a powerful movie and Ahmed deserves a supporting nom. This one really sticks with you...

I mean, a score of 7 means you thought the game was good, right? At least at launch.

Is this like the first time you guys have seen Blizzard announce a game lol? All jokes aside, Blizzcon is not a yearly thing anymore. It makes sense to announce things a little earlier because of that.

I played WoW for over a decade, so I'd be lying if I said I never wanted to go to a Blizzcon. I didn't really think I ever would tbh, but that changes this weekend. Will be covering it for @playday.one and hopefully have a good time, see you soon Anaheim. DM if you're there! For the Alliance!

And so the #Gamescom journey begins! Will be a day and a fair of long travel but excited all the same. And as promised to our amazing DayOne community, my hair is (partially) blonde! I know, it's still darker than even I expected lol. Can't wait to see the team again!

Finished Campaign Evolved last night and... Just wow. The Maw, the Halo level I've replayed the most out of all of them, and they friggen pulled it off. Hell the last 3 levels in general were just so damn good. This is the definitive version of the game, and it's not even close.

Xbox has been rumored to announce their layoff news in the coming days for weeks now. It's not a matter of "if", but of when. This isn't going to be Xbox putting bad news after Sony. It's Sony knowing Xbox is about to take all the headlines very soon and choosing now to drop theirs.

020 2

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 01/07/2026

Can folks go like half a day actually criticizing bad Sony news without jumping at or mentioning Xbox? Like goddamn.

The average player on a steam machine isn't playing fortnite or Roblox or cod or valorant so yeah, they're going to be spending less.

020 2

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 20/06/2026

The game has cross-platform support, seems like unless there's an offline mode that disables that, it's on by default and so needs the online connection.

Since around 2010 or so, when I first became aware of E3 as a think, it's always been a dream of mine to attend an Xbox one in person. And now with #Xbox Fanfest, I'm at the next best thing. Seems like a milestone moment... Bring on a great damn show!

The personal bag returns! After a very late night getting my FF7 Rebirth review done (will be live later today), I'm finally starting to feel the excitement of the coming days. I'm looking forward to a great SGF, and Xbox showcase and everything in-between.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be flown out to Infinity Ward and try out #ModernWarfare4 in person. Check out my coverage at www.playday.one, but man, it was so cool being in an actual game studio and not just a warehouse for a preview.

Pretty easy to understand. You stack up 3 years for the cheapest price you can find and you end up paying around 10-15 bucks a month for an absurd amount of games, including big AAA releases. Saves you hundreds and always keeps you with something to play. Tbh, _too much_ to play.

Just came out of Blade of the Guardians and had a blast the whole time. Top notch action and martial arts with some seriously creative fights. Story was really rushed but eh, that's not what I was there for. If you're a fan of martial arts movies, you gotta watch this one.

030 3

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 23/02/2026

Yeah, your praising of it before is what has me so interested. Will need to jump back into the game at some point this year though, it's, uh, been a looong time since I've played...

Ah man, that sucks to hear. Was hoping to catch up with you a bit there! I get it though, things are just so uncertain right now. I'm fortunate enough to have a long crossing history, living in a border city, so I have fewer problems But the risk is always there... Hope I see you somewhere though!

Weird thing to say imo when it's pretty clear he was defending the artist who was unfairly attacked. Not everything is a conspiracy, and there are plenty of really talented and creative people that contribute to Halo art, official or otherwise.

I haven't read the book, but #therunningman was a really enjoyable watch, one of Wright's best imo. Good action and performances, though what really sold it was that it had a hero you loved to root for and a villain you wanted to see burn. 8.5 No idea how faithful it was though.

One last trip to Seattle for the "final" #HaloInfinite event. It's been a pretty crazy year in so many ways, but these events are always a great and memorable time. I'll be there in official Xbox era capacity, so be sure to say hi if you see me, and check the site for coverage! #HaloWC

Heading to LA again! Or rather I just landed, but you know. A short 30 or so hour trip this time around, but should be fun. Always so cool when we're able to do this.

Seeing some extremely unprofessional "reporting" happening today. Can we not knee-jerk post on studio or game closures? This is stuff that affects real people and their lives, they deserve proper reporting, not emotional outbursts. Wishing for the best for everyone.

Aye, that's appreciated. Today is a nightmare of a day in the industry and everyone is rightfully pretty sensitive right now. Hoping for the best for as many as possible, man what a shitty, "big tech", thing to do.

Sorry if it came off like I was arguing, not my intent. Glad you liked the game! I'm hoping it'll click much more for me as I group up with friends over the weekend.

110 1

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 28/05/2025

Aye, I read your other replies after. But I think it's fair to critique the solo play of a game that was advertised to be able to be played solo. There are a lot of From fans who are looking for exactly that.

100 1

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 28/05/2025

I do agree mostly, but From deserves all the criticism (and more) for releasing a primarily multiplayer game without cross-play in 2025. And for also claiming solo-play as a viable option when it kinda isn't... At least not without some patches.

100 1

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 28/05/2025

Another one from me! So this is very much a "review-in-progress", as I was only able to solo play, but I'm pretty mixed on the game overall in a few ways. And no cross-play in 2025 is a bonkers decision for a MP centric title. Final review next week!

010 1

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 17/04/2025

Almost missed my flight, but I was able to watch the season finale of #wheeloftime at 3 am. And... They finally did it, a great end to a great season. A lot unresolved of course, but that's halfway through a show for you. Okay Amazon, time to #renewwot already!

040 4

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 10/04/2025

#wheeloftime Episode 7... I can see why so many people were hyping this one up. Goddamn fantastic all around. No idea how they're going to wrap like 6 major plot points in E08 though. Chances are we'll have at least three cliffhangers. I need a seasons 4 and 5 renewal _now_...

061 6

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 03/04/2025

Incredible episode of #theweeloftime this week. One I felt I've waited years and years for. And next week is supposed to be even better? Goddamn, they're cooking hard with this season. If you're not watching it, you should be!

020 2

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 02/04/2025

I want to be excited for the #NintendoSwitch2 but goddamn, these prices man... 780 dollars CAD for me if I want Mario Kart with it. And then 140 bucks a game if I want to be able to resell or lend them to friends? Like damn, I'm being priced out of this hobby. Or maybe just this platform...

020 2

Aarsal | SoulBlazerz @soulblazerz.playday.one · 13/03/2025

I won't be able to watch #WheelofTime until the weekend but I've been going through the soundtrack and @Lornebalfe killed it once again! We finally get a named Rand theme, and while it wasn't instantly what I was expecting, it fits so damn well. I need E4 now. music.youtube.com/watch?v=pbw8...

It's just so frustrating realizing that more than half of the responses or discussion that happen there are purely for engagement bait or to try and get a viral post. It doesn't feel genuine anymore, which makes dialogue pointless imo.
