That definition is wrong. If you look at the early history of the term AA you see that the term was always use for decendents of American slavery. I’ll pull up some pics on that. Also the United States is doing that right now. With Nigerian American and Ghanaian American

When the enslaved people were brought to America they created their own culture and tradition. AAs have our own languages, music, food, dance, art, literature and folklore. We are a ethnicity
