A “The Far Side” single frame comic strip. In a home’s laundry room, a cat is peeking curiously into an open washing machine . Hand written on the washing machine door, the floor, and the room door are the words “Cat fud”. A dog is hiding behind the dryer thinking “oh please, oh please.”

Everything is shit and it’s always the same handful of rich private equity assholes who are the reason.
The Redwood Shores, California-based maker of popular titles like “Battlefield” and “The Sims” closed the $55 billion sale of its business to Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund PIF, investment firm Silver Lake Partners and Affinity Partners, which is run by President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, in August.

“It has been done in the wrong way, American style.”
Antti Jakonen, who lives in Muhos, said that, although the trees felled represented a small fraction of Finland’s overall forests, he objected to the manner in which it had been carried out. “It has been done in the wrong way. American style. No sense. No sense at all,” he said.

Seize it.
After the tech company illegally stripped the entire area to build a datacentre – taking even the top soil with it – all that remains is a vast expanse of mud indented with the trail marks of machinery, puddles and mounds of earth, roots and branches. Residents say that brown water flowing off the site is going into a stream that feeds the Oulujoki River.

This is the same guy who was there in the Bronx. Of course they’ll lie.
That claim turned out to be false — Brenden Cuni, a Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officer with ICE, ran five searches and found nothing, then processed the warrant and had an officer run those searches again, Brown said.

“Cuni attempted to reconcile these falsehoods by subsequently collecting the information, adding it to those systems and, after issuing the warrant, searching the databases again to ‘find’ him,” Brown wrote.

The flirting started almost immediately.
"I would tell her, "You're my future wife.

I really hate how the publication framed this. Newsom just signed the bills. It was the California legislature that wrote and passed them.
Post from LA Public Press

Newsom just put new limits on ICE.
Here's what's changing in LA:
Gov. Gavin Newsom signed 21 immigration bills into law, including new rules targeting ICE detention centers, unmarked rental vehicles, and courthouse arrests.

Deranged
I think I'll probably sit in the Situation Room and make an appropriate decision. My decisions are correct ones.
I mean, look at our country. I was moving. This country is booming during a conflagration. You know, during-some people would say it's a war, some people would say it's not really a war.
When we get a war this year-you know, nothing's happened for the last two weeks, right? And somebody drops a bomb, and nothing happens, and they drop a bomb. No, I think that you'll find out what I'm doing.

He had fed the animal noodles, rice and eggs, only to realize it was wild and that he could not take care of it. So he brought it to the sanctuary.

3. Recruit a few of your closest friends so you can afford to move to a newer building that has AC. (Three human stick figures and a cat on a triple bunk bed. A sign below reads “The Experience — Culver City. New studios starting at $4,000”)

For everyone reposting this: This account habitually posts things from last year or before while implying that it’s new. This particular post is from Juneteenth in 2025. It’s not about holidays. It’s about racism.
Donald Trump post screenshotted and shared by “Headquarters News”: “Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. The workers don't want it either! Soon we'll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

Forcing this Ai garbage on us by taking away older useful features if we turn it off.
It’s worth noting that this box in Gmail’s settings doesn’t even mention Google Docs. It’s also worth noting that turning this off disables a number of other AI-powered features in Gmail, including grammar suggestions, autocorrect, smart compose, smart reply, and nudges. This also disables Gmail’s spellcheck, though the spellcheck offered by your browser will continue to work. If you depend on these features in Gmail, you might be stuck with AI in Google Docs.

Screenshot of a review. A guy is in this weird neck stretching device thing. (It’s like a loop hanging from the ceiling attached to a rubber? thing worn like a helmet that goes all around the head and under the chin.) His eyes are bugged out and slightly crossed and his face is squished and his lips are bulging out too if that’s even a thing and he’s baring his teeth and he looks just freaky.
The review reads “This item is really high-quality. I wish the carabiner was more robust so I might have to buy one to replace. Not that I think it won’t hold my weight, but I think it’s the lowest quality out of the package.”

Is this the sort of thing a rape and sexual abuse center should be doing? Mocking victims of abuse? Recording their calls and talking about them online?
A post from the irredeemable transphobic bigot JK Rowling:

We had it when we set up Beira's Place, too. "I am a woman with PCOS and have a full beard, will you still let me come for rape
counselling?' one man told a support worker over the phone, in his bass baritone. Strangely, on learning he was being recorded, he hung up.

Helen Barrett post:

I probably didn't express myself clearly, but I didn't mean that. What I meant was that lots of writers no longer cite other writers' stories if written relatively recently, because we have no way of knowing those writers' sources.

His lawyer sounds like a real gem too.
Shtein has retained celebrity defense attorney Priya Chaudhry as his lawyer.
Chaudhry represented disgraced
Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors in his Manhattan domestic violence case and film producer Paul Haggis in his civil rape case, both of which she lost.
In a statement, the attorney disparaged the young mother whom her client is accused of sexually assaulting and sought to portray him as the victim.
