There is absolutely nothing wrong with being satisfied with having enough. Enough food, shelter, opportunities, everything. The majority of the world's people are happy to come home to healthy, educated families and share a good meal. That should be the exalted standard - joy in a good life.

We need a circular economy where basic needs are met for all, and opportunities to do more exist for the driven. Ditch the ever expanding growth model we currently use. Resources ARE limited. We must share, repurpose, renew - we need a circle of sustainability. We did it before, we can do it again.

I hope we can reconfigure our world to a circular economy. The myth of unlimited growth is counteracted by the reality of a planet with finite resources. Economics is an entirely created 'science.' If the basic premise of prosperity is sustaining life, everything looks way different.

Oil isn't just oil. Crude, viscosity, etc means whatever dinosaur juice you extract can't be used without processing. The degree of processing needed so you can use the oil for car fuel makes a impacts the value of the oil extracted. How much do you spend to remove and refine it? Transport it? Etc?
