Emailed the UK government telling them that age verification is both the same as someone installing a spy camera, and forcing it on social media is no different to a creep following a woman at night. I won’t get a response but it’s nice to tell a politician they are evil freaks.

Nothing makes me “Nope” out of an adult website more than seeing a post mandating that I use “Yoti” - a company that profits from endangering women and girls - as they only way to even access the website. This is using a VPN based in a country where invasive age verification is not mandated.

The approach Pornhub has taken is logical, effective and grounded in reality. But it also doesn’t make Ofcom or predatory age verification companies money so they are going to fight it tooth and nail. t.co/eh6G1rcl0j

I do believe sex workers can and should be going to the ECHR over laws like this anyway, since it’s effecting their speech and expression.

If I was in France, had an “AI Influencer” and did a viewers request for said ”AI Influencer“ to do something sexual, would that be a crime even if said “AI Influencer” is not a real person. I would argue no and that my rights under the ECHR are being violated.
100
Suspect Device @sootyjared.bsky.social · 23/09/2026
I would also argue that the law is too broad anyway, YouTube literally recommended me videos yesterday of women revving cars and stepping in mud, which was clearly fetish content. If I was to request the creator to do a video with a certain car, would that be illegal? Even if it’s not sexual?
100
Suspect Device @sootyjared.bsky.social · 23/09/2026
It would also need to be narrowly tailored and better defined. Banning ”sexual services“ is one thing, but they would need to define it better than that, and also ensure they don’t ban general adult content such as someone uploading a nude image to onlyfans If not, then the law is vulnerable

France's National Assembly is considering a bill that would criminalize adult content sales, equating online content creation with pimping. Consumers and platforms would face steep fines and prison. The bill is being championed by Céline Thiébault-Martinez, an MP on the supposed socialist left.

Yes, that’s why the ULEZ needs to go. It’s discriminatory, outdated and pointless, it’s not necessary since the vast majority of cars aren’t more than 10 years old anyway. There is no reason to keep this discriminatory money making scheme around, it should go.

I would go as far as to say that the ULEZ Areas of London are some of the worst places I think I have briefly ever been. You can smell the racism, classism and casual ignorance of the people living and working there. I used to argue with these ULEZists online, they are all terrible.

Suspect Device @sootyjared.bsky.social · 03/09/2026
Rich selfish people living and working inside an area that banned evil poor people in their evil poor people cars, they are bound to be assholes. You aren’t a nice person if you support discriminating and effectively banning a mode of transport, nobody supporting the ULEZ is a nice person.

If anybody is wondering, the advert URLs is also different to the websites URL, which is why I left it blank, none of the videos worked as well but it was just reposts of the sludge of YouTube kids. I clicked on the website to ensure it wasn’t something I needed to tell the cops about.

To be clear, the Senate version of KOSA passed today is completely different than the House version that passed earlier this year, making it very unlikely to become law. The Senate knows this yet they are committing to the farce of acting on kids safety.
The image features a vibrant red background with a quotation prominently displayed in white and bold black text. The quote is attributed to Sarah Philips, the Campaign Director for "Fight for the Future." The text discusses the inadequacies of Congress in regulating Big Tech companies and emphasizes the need for meaningful action rather than superficial proposals. Below the quote, there is a rounded photograph of Sarah Philips, who has long, dark hair and is smiling, wearing a black shirt. The design includes playful elements such as a heart icon and a stylized signature underneath the photograph, adding an engaging and impactful look to the overall message about political accountability.

Device based age verification seems to be the most logical choice, it’s not perfect and the core issues of age verification remains, but this would get rid of the more harmful and dangerous aspects of age verification.

The senate‘s unbundling of the SCREEN Act from the KIDS Act seems to indicate to me that the Senate is sending a clear signal to the House: “We are not accepting your compromises” and thus will have conflict like KOSA. Again, i cannot promise anything however so I could be wrong.
