Alfred never goes too far out of his way, but he does make it memorable while reminding Bruce he is very British. The menu is set: Roast Beef with root vegetables. There's some potato soup for a starter, too. Bruce doesn't rightly care much, as long as Clark is happy at the end of the meal.

Fall in Gotham is the rain before the storm. The weather turns, the leaves change, and the criminals surge upwards from the underground to get a breath of the air before the winter freeze. Unlike Spring, the air is warm and thick, but cool enough to push people out later. More opportunities.

@hard-2-handle.bsky.social Bruce is mostly on time. He's about five minutes late, stumbling a little bit out of the car. No limo this time, just Alfred reluctantly dropping his ward off, waiting to leave until Bruce has made it to the lobby and is in the elevator.
