This is week two of making #bread from scratch! I made an enriched milk bread loaf with honey and steamed satsuma imo and the crumb is so much better! I decided to use a stand mixer and I think it really helped! Definitely not the prettiest loaf so I think I’ll leave the lid off for the next time!

My Tagalog is so bad 😭 Sautéed tomato and egg! Something my dad used to make a lot for breakfast growing up! Being both Chinese and Filipino, it was interesting to see how my family would add their influences to dishes!

Some progress on learning latte art! It’s been a slow climb trying to figure out timing. Lactaid is a little tricky because it foams so fast and also collapses if it’s too hot 😭 I am super happy with the progress I made today! 🥹

Made a kabocha shokupan that is reminiscent of King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls!! Definitely could be proofed a touch longer but I think this will toast nicely!

TikTok has been so weird lately… I got disconnected from my live in the middle of streaming. I’ve been delegating really hard about it but idk man…. especially with my privacy at stake. Not really sure if it’s worth the risk. It’s so hard to choose when you’ve built a decently sized platform 😭

Been having a rough start to the new year. While picking up fur babies from the vet yesterday, got into a minor car accident. While stopped at a light, a lady smashes into the left rear. Thankfully, we are all okay but car may or may not be totaled 😭
