It honestly feels like some people in government are more focused on glorifying one man than on honoring the country and the Constitution they swore to defend. When I see efforts to put Donald Trump’s name on coins, buildings, and even park passes, it comes across less like public service and more like building a personal shrine around a political figure. What makes it even more troubling is the idea of punishing people who try to cover up or remove those displays, as if loyalty to a politician is more important than loyalty to the nation. Every elected official takes an oath to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States, not to serve or promote any single individual. That oath is supposed to be about defending democratic principles, respecting the rule of law, and putting the country first.
