Oh, we talk! But it will never be the same as it was before 2020. It has been a grieving process. But I shan’t waste another minute on fretting. My 60s are amazing! Nobody can take that from me, the honor of growing old. My mom died at age 56. I’m free.

Living in NYC for 15 yrs, she was often asked, “Do you know what your name means?” She always says, “Yes. Beautiful.” When I believed that the world was mine to explore, I gave my eldest the name Danica which means “The first morning light, dawn”, in a defunct Slavic language. My world is smaller.
