While a lot of things I'm going for are (imo) improvements, having no bombs at all in a bullet hell definitely is deliberately breaking a genre convention. It stems from me personally not liking bombing in Shmups, in short, it becomes a button you use less and less the better you get. #indiedev

More Soundtrack stuff! Here's ORIGINAL vs ARRANGE for stage 1. (try it at gamescom!!) really proud of how the ORIGINAL version came out, I tried to capture the CAVE vibes but in my own style. Which one do you like more for bullet hell action? #wardingwitches #edm #vgm #gamedev #indiedev

I'm all merched up for gamescom!! It's always such a pleasure to reward the players with a lil' sumthin' to take home with! the shirts aren't merch, I'll wear those on some of the days but there's a few extra I could sell at cost - hit me up on discord if you're interested. #wardingwitches #gc2026

Just recently finished up most of my ARRANGE soundtracks for #wardingwitches. the game will have 2 distinct styles of soundtrack, ORIGINAL and ARRANGE! I'm an EDM⚡producer on the side, so the ARRANGE versions WILL punch your eardrums! Which style do you like better for MENU? #gamedev #edm #vgm

Out of all things, my demo gets to be this person's first review 🥹 I love making games so much I will work hard to make a shmup worthy of such players!

Steam Review on Warding Witches. It reads:
I literally never played a single demo of a game longer than this one.

It’s so well done and a lot of fun! The demo even has its own leaderboards, so it just keeps you hooked. Different characters and difficulties with 2 game modes is crazy for a demo too. I really recommend it if you got some time at your hands and you’re unsure what to play.

Sonorode | Warding Witches @sonorode.com · 17/06/2026

I've done tons of patching since the demo came out, even balancing to make the steam leaderboards a proper competition. One person only had a steam deck to play Steam games on, which the demo didn't support (funky resolution in handheld), so here we are. EVERYBODY gets to play!! ✨🧹

GG Bavaria is done and I'm still processing it. What I keep coming back to is the people who genuinely stopped, played, had opinions about which witch is the best. Someone put the Talia merch card in their phone case on the spot. That's the part that matters! Thank you to everyone who came by 🫶✨🧹

When an EDM Producer makes a video game (sound on! 🔊) One of my biggest motivations for making Warding Witches is actually that I've always wanted to make a soundtrack for a shmup! Paired with being an EDM-head... look for urself #dnb #indiegame #gamedev #gameaudio #edmproduction #wardingwitches

LEVEL UP Salzburg's indie area had a cool mini game where visitors would get a token, which they can give to the game they liked most out of all. So heartwarming to see so many people come by and give me their coin 🥹 Also, it was kind of reminiscent of arcades
