Morning! It's time for September's #DistanceDrift. Wherever you wander, seek out the impressionistic in your environment, sudden pointillism and abstract flourishes. Interpret freely; share finds as you go or at the end using the hashtag or by replying here.

It's #DistanceDrift time! To mark Lammastide (loaf mass) let's take a stroll to celebrate the grain. Seek out loaves and cakes, cereals and corn sheaves, and any other bounty of this first fruits harvest festival. Interpret freely; share finds as you go or at the end.

Morning! As today's #DistanceDrift will be subject to the whims of folk festival signal and programme commitments, I'll be posting a prompt for a creative wander a little earlier than usual. My own finds will be pretty haphazard too... Watch this space!

Morning! It's the first Sunday in July and time for a SLOOOWW #DistanceDrift. Wherever you choose to wander, slow right down. Wander ponderously. Take time to examine tiny details in your environment. Pause; dwell; meditate. Rest. Be aimless.

Visiting The Hole in the Wall, The Maiden's Head, The (Creepy) Moon and Stars, and The Rose in June on my #DistanceDrift pub crawl. Unfortunately The Jackdaw flew off before I could snap it.

Morning! Moving books around at home I rediscovered this title by Jacqueline Simpson on the etymology of pub names. Inspired by this, today's #DistanceDrift invites you to take a psychogeographical pub crawl...

Rabbits! It's the first Sunday in March, and today's #DistanceDrift takes its cue from the saw that saying (and seeing) rabbits on the 1st of this month will bring good luck. Wherever you wander, seek the leporid, build a bunny, hare about - you get the idea. Share finds as you go or at the end.

Thanks to @threadandword.bsky.social for the virtual company on today's rock paper scissors #terminalia wander. Despite several losing scissors and drawing rocks, I managed to wrap my papery self around plenty of rocky spots in the environment.

Signs of tipping into Spring on today's #DistanceDrift for Brigid, Imbolc and Candlemastide. Buds on shrubs, scatterings of snowdrops and everything just a little bit fresher, greener and juicier.
