These aren't just single lines but little bits have really stuck with me!! CW for heavy angst on both these fics, but I love them both so much! They're amazing!! The first one is from this fic: archiveofourown.org/works/260727... The last two are from this fic: archiveofourown.org/works/339575...

Katsuki snorts. "Sounds fucking annoying."

"Yeah, I guess so," Kirishima chuckles wetly, "It's always there. No matter how much you shake your shoe, or bash it into something, you just can't dislodge it. And at first the stone's really big, like quite a large pebble, and it hurts so much every time you walk on it. And sometimes you don't wear shoes at all, you walk around with bare feet, so you forget the stone even exists. And then..."

He squeezes Katsuki again.

"You'll have to put your shoes on again, you put your foot in, and... ah. There it is."

Katsuki's heart is hammering.

"It can hurt a lot," Kirishima sighs, "I mean a lot. And for a while, every single step in it is strange and uncomfortable and wrong. But, I guess, eventually... it gets more bearable."

Kirishima picks up a purple crayon, All Might isn't purple but he still uses it to color in his hair. "Maybe. But that's what it's for. It's for others and I'm more than happy giving it to them."

"We need to work on that." Nerva says.
