She recognized the cloth gloves as he slipped them onto his hands. She had a similar pair of her own that she used with her dolls. The fancy, expensive dolls she didn’t want to risk damaging with the oils from her hands when touching them.

“I like my dolls quiet,” he said, almost as if musing the thought to himself than explaining to the helpless girl why he was slathering superglue on the shield of a huge pacifier.

“Shhhhh,” he whispered as he held the pacifier in place while the glue set, not that she was capable of trying to spit it out, drugged as she was.
