The extent that my hubby will go to capture a close-up pic of a fiddlehead fern for me. I love him dearly. 10/10 No notes.

A man lies on his stomach on a boardwalk, peeking around a duck blind to get a close-up photo of some spring foliage. All because his wife (that’s me) loves ferns.

For my #BirdOfTheDay I’m posting this immature #Herringgull for the #openwing prompt. It’s a nice reminder for me that although we’re still buried deep in snow, we’ve got hot July temps and #shorebirds to look forward to.

Bottoms up! I couldn’t resist taking a snap of these two yesterday at the #EdwinBForsytheNationalWildlifeRefuge . I think they’re perfect for the #BirdOfTheDay theme #TwoOfAKind. My best ID is that they are #mallards , but please correct me if I’m mistaken. #photography #nature

A pair of duck are tipped with their front halves under water while foraging. We see two white bellies topped with black tails and featuring four bright orange legs, but no feet. Those too are tucked under the cold, still water. Brownish winter reeds can be seen in the background.

I’ve never been so happy to have a critter eating one of my plants! This guy and a friend are munching their way through one of my milkweeds, and I couldn’t be happier. 🐛

Close up picture of a dandelion seed head in its puffed stage. The little white puffs at the ends of the individual seeds look like little fireworks. Some images from the No Kings March in Haddon Twp, NJ yesterday. Must confess that TACO Dog was a crowd fav. 🌮 🐕

Crowd of marchers gathering at the end of a No Kings March. Lots of signs, American flags, Pride flags, and Ukrainian flags. People are wearing rain gear due to the weather.
