The search results in Sikio basically work, but I have to work around some limitiations of the podcast search and the Mediathek search. This will be addressed when I add PeerTube and YouTube search soon.
Screenshot of Sikio's "Add source" page, German interface. A search field contains "Tatort". The hint explains you can paste a podcast, YouTube or PeerTube link, or search Apple Podcasts and the public TV media library. Result tabs: Podcasts (19), Episodes (20), TV Shows (11), TV Videos (15). The Podcasts tab lists matching shows with cover art, publisher and RSS feed URL, each with a "Subscribe" button. The sidebar on the left matches the inbox view.

Just released Sikio 0.5.0. It now supports search in the MediathekWebView covering German-speaking public broadcasting services. Pretty happy with it in the current stage. I can handle of my streaming media consumption with it right now. github.com/oliverandrich/siki...
Screenshot of Sikio, a media inbox app, with a German interface. Left: a sidebar with Inbox, Queue, History, All Entries and a list of subscribed podcasts and channels. Middle: the Inbox with 8 new items from YouTube, podcasts, PeerTube and a public TV media library, each with a thumbnail and duration. Right: the selected Tatort crime film from WDR, with a video still of two people in lab coats examining old bones, a player with skip and speed controls, and a short description.

It's quite funny to watch your favorite Elixir podcast in your own podcast player built with #elixirlang. MacroMayhem is a wonderful podcast. I hope @gworkman.bsky.social and @peterullrich.com keep up for a long time.
Screenshot of a web browser displaying a video player. The video player shows two men standing against a black curtain. The man on the left wears a green shirt and the man on the right wears a black T-shirt. The video player is framed by a white border. On the left side of the screen, there is a menu with several items. The text "MacroMayhem" is visible at the top of the menu.

Made good progress on my media player app. Youtube, Peertube and podcast work. Light and dark mode in place. The mobile interface is usable too. Now I need to write some documentation and prepare the various ways to deploy it.
Screenshot of the web app Sikio in light mode, running on localhost. The layout has three columns on a white background.
The left sidebar shows the "sikio" logo, then Inbox (2), Queue (8, selected), History and All Entries (697). Below that is a list of subscriptions, including podcasts, YouTube and PeerTube channels.
The middle column is the queue, with 8 items and "Continue playing" switched on. Each item has a thumbnail with its duration, the channel, the title, the remaining time in orange, the source (Podcast, YouTube or PeerTube) and a drag handle.
The right column shows the selected podcast episode. The player has a large play button and an orange progress bar at 35:23 with 49:00 left, plus skip buttons and a 1× speed control. Below the player are the episode title and show notes with links.Screenshot of the web app Sikio in dark mode, running on localhost. It is the same view as the light-mode version, but with a near-black background, light text and yellow-orange accents.
The left sidebar shows Inbox, Queue (selected), History, All Entries and a list of subscriptions.
The middle column is the queue, with 8 podcast and video items. Each one shows a thumbnail, the title, the source and the remaining time in yellow-orange.

At the top are the "sikio" logo and buttons for adding a subscription and opening the settings. Below that is the queue, with 8 items and "Continue playing" switched on.
The list fills the screen with podcast and video episodes. Each one shows a thumbnail with its duration, the channel, the title, the remaining time in orange, the source (Podcast, YouTube or PeerTube) and a drag handle. The first item is the podcast episode "Eine Carre four Holgi" from Realitätsabgleich.
A tab bar at the bottom has Inbox, Queue, Library and Search. A small floating toolbar partly covers the left side of it.

I have built myself a YouTube, PeerTube and podcast player with the features I always wanted. Finally, I have a unified interface to enjoy all three sources.
Screenshot of Sikio, a self-hosted web app for following video channels and podcasts, open in a browser on localhost. The UI is in German and uses three columns.

Left sidebar: the Sikio logo, the filters "New" (205), "In progress" (15, selected), "Finished" (455) and "All entries" (675), and a list of seven subscriptions with avatars and counts. The footer says Sikio is free open-source software under the AGPL-3.0.

Middle column: the "In progress" list with filter chips for All, Video and Audio. Partially watched episodes are grouped under "Today" and "Yesterday". Each entry shows a thumbnail with its duration, the channel name, the title, the source (YouTube, PeerTube or Podcast) and the remaining time in orange, such as "80 min left".

Right pane: the selected YouTube episode of c't's "Haken dran". A large video player shows two men wearing headphones in front of microphones, with a blue play button in the center. Above the player are the buttons "Mark as seen" and "Open on YouTube". Below it are the episode title, a list of clickable chapter timestamps with the current chapter highlighted, and the start of the show notes.

Off to Oslo.
Photo taken at an aircraft cabin door: an orange sign featuring the Lufthansa logo (white crane in a circle). Below, “Willkommen / Welcome” is printed in white. Someone has added a handwritten note in blue pen reading: “Good Morning dear guests ♡ Happy Monday”. Passengers can be seen boarding in the plane.
