Random neat Splatoon Raiders detail: The Hi-Fiver gadget shoots a spread of five marker lines that DoT. You can get mods that add more lines, and other mods that tighten the spread. Both these actually get reflected in the gadget model. Here’s default, min spread, +4 lines, +4 lines and min spread.

Funniest case is them making a Knight and literally naming him “Guard” but backwards, and apparently someone liked him so much they managed to get him to be a main party member in Tokyo Mirage Sessions. Also tried checking the wiki to learn more about him and even it is like “IDK not much there.”

I think there was a few systems that were dubiously explained on how certain buffs interacted, but the clearest example is probably Just Range. Every weapon has a specific attack range where it does 20% more auto attack damage, and the system is unmentioned in game minus a UI glow in range.

Favorite Game (Minecraft): It really is hard to think of another game where I can return to it each year and (through modpacks) it feels like playing the game for the first time.
Best Story (Undertale): Basic answer, but really there are few games that can compete on both having a good story and utilizing the medium in a way where it can't be told as well otherwise.
Favorite Art Style (Darkest Dungeon II): Probably some recency bias, but the striking visuals of each attack given and taken and grotesqueness of the enemies seemed hard to translate to moving 3D from 2D images, but they did it fantastically.
Biggest Personal Impact (Xenoblade 3): Still rotate different characters and moments in my mind even now.
Have unironically staved off bouts of existential dread by thinking about how Triton worked to effectively embrace death after gaining eternal life because infinite time would still not enable you to reach a 'finality' in your passions. And that dude's an optional side character.
Best Combat (Rogue Legacy 2): IDK just a good ass game, got several hundred hours in it because it just feels that clean to play. Fantastic evolution on the first game with a lot more variety.
Overhated (Pokémon ZA): Mediocre textures was not enough to explain whatever happened online at launch.

Underrated (Crosscode): Ehhhhh this one I didn't really have a game for, so I picked one I just think more people should play. Doesn't click with everyone but combat was super pleasing to me, scratches a certain itch.
Rarely have a game where I can die dozens of times to a boss and feel like I can identify and take responsibility for exactly the mistakes that lead to it.
Overrated (FE Echoes): Not massively overrated in itself, but one of the few cases where I played a game and felt simultaneously:
1. Game is very well received
2. Game genre is well tailored to my tastes.
3. Game is not really fun. Public opinion probably cooled over time but one of the few times I was fully expecting to love a game and felt like it was mediocre to bad. Voice acting, art, and music are fantastic, but story was meh and gameplay was turtling city due to the obsession of units that spawn more units and swamps fucking everywhere.
Needs a Remake (Recettear): Very unique game about selling and haggling that I haven't really seen replicated since, with a bit of a rough translation and frankly pretty mediocre dungeon crawling and combat. Recettear shopkeeping with good combat would be so fun.

Criminally Overlooked (Before Your Eyes): 1 first got introduced this by a streamer who was playing it because a friend of theirs from college worked on it, which kinda framed it as "doing my friend a favor so don't be too harsh :) " at first. Ended up crying by the end of it. Very unique game that uses a webcam as controls, going through the life of a soul where scenes are progressed at certain points by blinking, causing life to literally flash before your eyes as you hop scene to scene. Since people obviously have to blink, it (intentionally) causes some scenes to cut midway, really giving the feeling of only seeing fragments of a life.
Favorite Protagonist (Yakuza: Like a Dragon): Ichiban

Favorite Antagonist (Kid Icarus: Uprising): Grappled with this one a while, because I wanted no repeats so l didn't pick Yakuza 7 again (good narrative foil) or XC2 (funny) in it. Settled on Kid Icarus: Uprising because it needed to be in here somewhere, and the villain being the God of the Underworld constantly making unblockable Discord calls to you to be a shitter while you're playing Space Harrier is funny as hell.
Best Soundtrack (Xenoblade Chronicles 2): Good ass soundtrack all around. If we classify Torna as part of it then even more true.
Best Multiplayer (Splatoon 3): Was torn between this and TF2. I probably had more collective fun with TF2 in the past, but if I were to boot both up right now as they are now l'd probably enjoy Splatoon 3 more.

Not usually my thing, but... (VA-11 hall-a): Not really much of a VN type, nothing against them but for some reason I just haven't hopped on most of them. Exception is here and a great game all around, just being an average Joe (or I guess average Jill) witnessing the world is a nice storytelling vector.

Best With Friends (Left 4 Dead 2): IDK what to say, modded left 4 dead 2 with friends is just a timeless activity. Just as fun today as it was before.
Best Retro Game (Pokemon Stadium): Played it a lot as a kid and what I first think of for N64, Super Mario 64 very close second.
Nostalgic Childhood Game (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon:
Explorers of Sky): Just a very fun game and probably one of the earliest more strategic games I played. Also the story was basically "Sometimes people do bad things for good reasons, also don't trust a cop" which is important lessons for the youth tbh.
Game Everyone Should Play (Katana Zero): Fantastic game all around, never been a speed runner but I grinded out the speedrun mode for hours for the gold medal run just because it was that fun to play. Story was quite good too, I wish more games copied the dialogue system because having specific "interrupt the other party" dialogue options is an incredibly funny mechanic.
