The Elusive Samurai Season 2 Both seasons have been a blast. I love how the studio went even crazier with their creative freedom for season 2. The DLSS 5 filter meme was a good jump scare.

A Sign of Affection Romance drama isn't really my thing but we've been having so many technical problems at work and I just wanted something easy and slow to watch after work. It was cute.

Carole & Tuesday Watched the show when it was airing and got the comic version cheap. The comic versions of Studio Bones original works are usually pretty meh. This doesn't cover everything from the show and is missing some key scenes, but overall a good adaptation.

Clevatess Season 2 I love Iwahara but Clevatess isn't my favorite of his works. Maybe it's because I'm not a fantasy-setting person.

Sparks of Tomorrow This show was all over the place. But I liked it.

DIGIMON BEATBREAK I will miss my Sunday mornings with Digimon ( ；∀；) It's very, very good. I like "found family"-themes so this is very much my kind of show. Saw someone else call it Digimon Heartbreak and I absolutely agree.

My cats have never been "lap cats" but my grumpy guy has been yelling at me just to make sure he can jump up and sleep in my lap for minimum 2 hours whenever I'm home during the day for the past year. Can't just jump up quietly. No, have to tell.

The World Is Dancing Another beautifully made show.

Goodbye, Lara Beautifully made show.

Resident Evil Dumb but fun. Felt more like a parody movie rather than an adaptation.

130

Coffee @somecoffeetable.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

BLACK TORCH Absolutely average. It's a good thing it's only 12 episodes.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm (season 1) Absolutely loved it, my kind of show. Looking forward to the next season.

MARS RED I don't know which follows the source material best, this or the comic. All the characters' important scenes in the comic version are completely removed or reduced to nothing in the animation. I guess they wanted the adaptations to be different from each other, but just read the comic.

The Cat and the Dragon I'm gonna miss watching this on Sunday mornings. It's very cozy.

Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia It was wonderfully made. I hope we'll get another season.

False Memory The show starts off just as confusing as the pilot but wrapped up wonderfully. It's also visually lovely to look at.

Obsession Highly uncomfortable movie. But it was good.

I tried placing some of my books "cover outwards" just to get some extra space. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of how it turned out but I did indeed fit more books.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day I don't particularly like most of the MCU movies and I think they get worse and worse, same goes for the Holland movies. But I did like this one. It felt very Spider-Man.

Silent Hill f Just the first ending. It's different but at least it's a good game compared to some of the latest entries in the franchise.

Appare-Ranman! Watched the show when it was airing so it's been a while. The comic follows it completely and doesn't add anything extra. It's still good.

Legendz One of the toy franchises I've never taken much interest in. It was decent.

After 10 years I finally framed my Rodea poster. I absolutely hate framing big posters and having one that's been rolled up for 10 years didn't really help. Still don't know where to hang it.

Dark Metro Used to have the first 2 volumes in English and probably bought them back in 2008. It always bothered me that they never released vol.3. Found out now that they did a "complete edition" book. So today is the day I finally finished this. It's a decent B-horror.

But also that damn post card I've been missing. I was apparently smart and placed it behind my favorite drive when I packed everything away.

Scarlet This movie was a mess. I like Hosoda Mamoru's movies and looked forward to this, but it fell short on all parts. A huge disappointment.

My Oni Girl Another Studio Colorido. One of their weaker movies but it's alright. That English title is a choice though.

110

Coffee @somecoffeetable.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

Cosmic Princess Kaguya! The Vocaloid whiplash I got from the older songs. Studio Colorido might not have the best stories but the visuals are always amazing. It's well worth a watch.

Petals of Reincarnation It was alright, I guess?

110

Coffee @somecoffeetable.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

Kujima: Why Sing, When You Can Warble? A cozy show about the selfishness of children. Even though Kujima isn't a likeable character, the show is.

120

Coffee @somecoffeetable.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

GHOST CONCERT : missing Songs It started out good but lost its momentum early. Either it's a case of people not knowing how to write a story or not being allowed to tell the story at the pace and way they wanted to. It's a shame. The premise and character designs are great so it's a bit of a waste.

Nippon Sangoku I know a lot of people didn't like the way this show was animated but I liked it. It felt different and I think in it's way, the show was beautifully made. I hate real life politics but I tend to like shows with political themes. It's good, looking forward to hopefully seeing more

I do have a couple on display though

Digging through my old boxes makes me realize why I really don't like buying LE boxes and stuff anymore. I used to be better at displaying them but these days they just remain hidden away. That's why I prefer just buying cartridges for N64 games since the plan is to play them, not display.

The Great Yokai War: Guardians Bought the first two volumes at a bookstore sale only based on the style and I like things with yokai and kami. It was right up my alley. Also realized I've had the original Great Yokai War movie on my watchlist for a while and didn't know there was a sequel lol
