My mother has cancer and is being treated here. My best friend when I was a kid was across the border and the family went bankrupt from cancer.

I'm in Canada, I know the difference. Look at the cost to benefit ratio compared to other nations. Anyone that believes anything besides those states is brainwashed.

It does reduce the pool of connected sycophants by one, so one less leech that would have been maneuvered into some position not meant for non-connected people.

As a Unionist I also believe in non-violence. Both parties participate in significant corruption. It's obvious. Biden just pardoned the Cash for Kids guy. Both are truly anti-Union, one pretends not to be. People don't really have much voice in America.

Remember, Remember the 4th of December, the CEO treason and plot. I know of no reason the CEO’s treason should ever be forgot.

I'm a Social Democrat from Canada. I am saying that if you want to embrace the Supreme Court decision, that's what their decision allows. You people are messed, and your country is nothing but far right and further right garbage.

Ya, sure, that doesn't mean pardoning his son for his crimes though. That means... Well, I mean, that means a dictatorship regardless of who is in and so you're saying embrace a dictatorship under the Democrats instead of under the Republicans.

It's the last episode of Seinfeld where the judge and everyone around them describes their perspective of events with Seinfeld and Gang being complete jerks and labeling them as a gang, but Always Sunny takes this perspective the whole time.

And lobbyists from private prisons either bribing lawmakers to make culturally relative laws to fill prisons or even outright bribing judges.

Sure, by all means vote for the lesser of two evils. I agree with voting for Biden, I don't agree with cheering him on to perform corrupt acts. The law should be enforced equally, not allow exemptions. Loopholes should be closed, not blown further open.

Democrat voters in California voted in favor of slavery. No one is clean

You have a choice between a smaller oligarchy and a larger oligarchy and what little form of "democracy" you had left voted for larger oligarchy. Don't forget that Democrat voters in California just voted in favor of the slavery exemption for prisoners. No one in America is clean.

I'm pointing out that your country is extremely far right since voters that vote for Democrats still support prison labour, and you have the option between two far right political parties. You shouldn't be cheering for corruption among the less far right of the two.

One side is escalating to fascism or civil war as the only option, while the other placates them because frankly the "left" side even still supports prison slave labour as demonstrated in California this election. Two far right groups in one country.

They can also put their kids as partial owner when they are much younger and then transfer the full percentage later when they "retire". Nice and easy.

Don't normalize the already normalized prison slavery either. Cali voted to keep using it.

I say a Democrat saying Biden should pardon his son (why not Leonard Peltier?) and I said it's messed up to cheer for one side of two right wingers for who is less corrupt, when the country has a bunch of prison slaves y'all support. Insta blocked.

Reps are further far right than Dems, which is to say they are worse than people who also promote forced prison labour in a system that historically targets based on cultural, racial, and class lines to create a slave class. It will be hard to see soldiers not following a more fascist of two fascist

Tariffs have a place in any world more left or more right than the Liberal centre. Tariffs can be used to discourage consumers from buying a product that competes unfairly with local markets to incentivize local purchases - something hippies love and encourage.

You were on the way there not long ago. Democrat voters tolerate and benefit from a spectrum of what is happening. Specifically prison slave labour, which Dems in Cali just voted for. If you aren't like even those Dems let alone Reps, you have an ever shrinking commonality with your countrymen.

I don't really want a bridge between two far right groups. The Dems voters of Cali just voted in favor of prisoner slavery, which is part of a justice system that has a long history of overt cultural / racial prejudice and corruption. Looking south from Canada is worrying.

I just joined Bluesky to get away from the culture war between two far right camps where one pretends to be left wing despite continuing to support prison slave labor and the other... Is openly fascist? And all I see is more culture warring. Help.

I wanna point out Dem voters in California voted against ending prisoner slave labour, every party is in a race to the bottom to destroy one demographic's life for the benefit of another's. As a Canadian social democrat, if you don't agree with status quo slavery, please flee your country.

solipsi.bsky.social @solipsi.bsky.social · 19/11/2024
Just so you know, the original poster blocked me for criticising this idea as a Social Democrat and pointing out you guys still use slave labor prisoners. As an outsider, indigenous Canadian looking in at the condition of minorities while the European colonists culture war, I'm pretty shocked.

Also, Canadian, so it's weird seeing "corrupt far right war hawks vs corrupt far right fascists" and people nonchalantly choosing camps.

I dunno, I'm a Social Democrat and the first post I saw was demands for Biden to pardon his son and I just assumed it was some weird psyop to post extreme responses as propaganda for Truth Social or whatever, but maybe people were being serious. Looks like the games are afoot.
