Gave It a shot and it took some doing, but I got some real good results! Thanks for the idea!

Wow. Funny thing is my gf started calling ours Jizz Lip for... obvious reasons. I think you's might have him beat though! Check it, you can see it even when he was a kitten and looked like he was made of dryer lint.

Been a tiring week. Still got one day to go before my weekend.

Funny thing, something like this actually happened to me when I worked as a guard.

If anyone's interested, this is the novel that comes before the graphic novel series, which I also love reading around spooky-month. I can't recommend the series enough.

It's that time of year again! Picking up Baltimore, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire by Mike Mignola. I never read it fast enough to finish it in October, so I start a little bit early each year.

I kinda liked the lower saturation version, but here's the original too.

I made a cake! What've YOU done with your life?

I'm almost done with my current sketchbook so have a random selection of pages from it. Mostly Julie practice, but some other characters here n' there. Including @v1rtical.bsky.social's Liz, at the beach at the very end there.

Guess it's time to ask you all the question. My answer is Three Men in a Boat (which is free to watch on yt!)

Took a couple breaks to finish, but who here remembers Twig, my attempt at a goblin girl OC? ... Who I made taller than I meant to, but at least I drew her!

Remember a couple years back when there were those creepy clown guys ambushing drivers at night? I always wanted to get a kids sized baseball bat to keep in my car. Chase them down and see how committed to the bit they REALLY were. Never had the opportunity though... Anyways:

I hope it goes well! Not sure what Julie did to bother me, but I'll get over it.

I imagine that just leads to a lot of giggling (from you, I mean).

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Another interesting thing that happened today...

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I was just at a hospital (for work) and a car was sitting in front of the main entrance just BLASTING Whitney Huston's How Will I Know while either picking up or dropping off. So now that's gonna be stuck in my head all day. But at least it made the day less boring.

Spent some time at lunch sketching @v1rtical.bsky.social's gunslinger Elizabeth. Who also goes by DT when she's working. Fun character all around!

Quick shot of the sun this morning. Bit smokey in town.

Was at the Asian grocery store and every product has an anime mascot obviously. But then I saw this one and it's the most "How To Draw Anime by Richard Peterson" thing I've ever seen in the wild.

Honestly hard to narrow it down to just one, but the idea of her wearing the seatbelt under her shirt was too funny.

Getting outta practice again. Just been a busy week... and a half. But here's a good lunch time Julie for ya!

I think this little guy is my favorite.

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

I'm so very tired this morning. Ended up at an avant-garde art show last night and it ten times more artsy than I was worried it would be... I feel like it just sapped my energy and I feel so exhausted this morning...

020

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

I don't care what everyone says, withdrawals are AWFUL.

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Lesseeeeeeee... Oh! Julie Aard: Security Guard was the first thing that came to mind when I was thinking of what would rhyme. After a while, I thought it sounded stupid and tried to change her first name to Whitney. Everyone who knew about the comic at the time wanted it to go back to Julie.

010

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

Took long enough, but here she is!

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Had a thought earlier today. I feel like the kinda person I really WANNA be is also the type of person who would be annoyed or off-put by how much the real me worries over trivial things in life.

Only halfway through my week and already know this is the coolest car I'll see.

Solid V Art @solidvart.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

In a couple of these, Mini REALLY looks like Mickey's really obscure sister. I guess that's just cos she's got hair though, huh?

Been working on character designs for my comic on my breaks. It's always been a real struggle for me. But I've been making some real progress lately!

Scout looks so serious right now. ... well, more than he usually does anyway.
