He should be alarmed, however there's part of him wondering if it has anything to do with the contact. so Snake did what he viewed as the most reasonable course of action. Standing up and leaning on the counter. "Not the best electrical work I've seen. Got a reason for doing all that?"

Eyes slowly drift down to the other side of the bar, hands sliding to the edge in case he needs to jump back. Leaning forward just a bit to see if he can catch a glimpse of just whoever might be there.

Fingers drumming on the dark wood of the bar. Supposed to meet some contact here, unsure where they're from but still info is info. Sipping the whiskey just for the burn since he can't get drunk anymore.

Grilling at the beach in your usual dad attire of a Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts and sandals. Cigarette in one hand as he flips burgers for the local folks.

He doesn't get to enjoy sleeping in often, but he'll enjoy it at least for #SeductiveSunday.

Late night smoke, alley of some dive bar in a nothing town that he was stopping by. Still, he'll enjoy the quiet for now.

Long drag of his cigarette, looking down below at the city below him.

Standing at his balcony, robe, cigarette and some nice scotch. A nice end to an evening.

Well, the title combined with the Hero's name clued him into where he was. "Ah, well. I hope they hate fire then. You seem more than well equipped for that situation."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

"Never heard of a pop quiz? I only had to check in with the security team and then they gave me the clear." Snake nodded, a quick glance past the other. Furrowing his brows.

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

"Oh yeah? And I should just take your word for it?" Snake performs a quick pat down to try and find any weapons on the other. Standing back afterwards. "In my position, would you trust me?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

"Good thing I got here when I did then. . . Granted it wasn't my choice, but still. Still, do you think you'll be able to outlast everyone here?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

The soldier leaned down to grab the device, offering it to the other. "Well I'm supposed to make sure people report on suspicious items and dangerous things in the workplace. Was going to fail this place but with you reporting it, that brings the score up."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"Fine, turn around." Snake said, if he was going to comply then there's no need for any violence. "You can be the thing that gets me caught, knowingly or not, that's a danger to me."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"Is that where I'm at?" A look around the surroundings then a slow nod. "Ah, well. I'm not going to question the monster camps thing." A glance down to the other, tilting his head. "What exactly are you?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Snatching his hand away from the seemingly dead appendage. "I ain't gonna die he-" The sentence was cut short when a sudden flood of pain wracked his body. Causing him to fall to his knee.

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"Don't like to leave evidence." Snake raises an eyebrow, the other seems eager to do something with his hand. "Got your next move thought out? I'd think very carefully about it. I can get to you before someone gets to this room."

"So you go around and burn things that you think are trash?" A moment, tapping a finger to his chin. "Seems like textbook definition of arsonist fella."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"Seems like a good friend, but he could tear up the country and wouldn't find you." Snake replied, taking a step closer staring down the other. "Wouldn't even find this box if I didn't want him to."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

-weight from the box prior was definitely inhuman. "Just a man trying to do a job. Don't think you're necessarily involved."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

A hand moved to his hip, drawing the tranquilizer weapon from it's holster. Looking at the box, ready for action when it started. "A more serious answer huh?" A moment to think and mull it over. The sounds on the outside of the box had him wondering if it was just a kid doing graffiti, but the -

Seems like he was getting ratted out. Can't afford to get caught though. The box is quickly flung off, Snake takes a glance over the other. "Sorry, surprise safety inspection."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Snake reaches up to his shoulder, trying to grab whatever took hold of him. The bell? A bell? Where was it coming from? He grits his teeth, running on pure adrenaline sparked by fear. "The hell are you?!"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"It is the most peaceful place in the whole world. The box is a place of safety, and comfort. An ideal tool for any agent in the field."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"Sure is." Smoking down the cigarette, he snubs it out on the wall before flicking it into a trashcan. "As someone who advocates for less violent solutions, you might have to do it. Unfortunately. Or just kill the person in charge."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Well. .. Better than expected. However, he still steps out and re-tapes it. Afterwards, he will resume his operation of getting to the back of the house.

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

His eyes narrow, unsure if the other is feeding him bullshit or not. "A regular citizen, I see. So nobody would look for you if you were taken huh?" A tilt of his head, gauging the others reaction for the moment.

"This feels way too coordinated for some kid to have just snapped. All those weapons, backup bodies and the rest of these preparations all take time to pull off. Don't know what happened but it definitely has all the bases covered." He blows out the smoke off to the side. "Anyone escaped yet?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Blue eyes look him up and down, taking him in. Slowly he tucks the knife into his sheathe. "I'm following a lead, heard something I'm looking for is here." Snake folds his arms over his chest. "Why wouldn't you have a weapon on you?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Once again, his plans are foiled by people with common sense. The box is easily lifted, and reveals the soldier, who stares at the cat. "Occupied."

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"A robot bear. . ." Every detail just seems to get him more and more confused. Pinching the bridge of his nose. "Real fucked situation I guess. What happens if you turn the bear off?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

"You're not wrong about that, if it comes up I'll let you know." He looks like a kid but. . . Doesn't give off the vibe. "What's your name?"

000

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Watching the other jump back Snake notes he's observant. Though that was obvious from how he was caught. The voice was definitely an act but that doesn't mean they couldn't back it up. So after Rose grabs the box, Snake quickly stands up. Tossing the box onto the other and drawing a weapon. -

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Snake acknowledges now that while this was ideal for infiltration, he really ought to stick to going in via truck instead of the front door. As the box is lifted, Snake is revealed. A deadpan stare at the other, finger to his lips.

SNAKE @solidsneaking.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

This feels like one of Mantis' illusions he'd heard about back in the day. Eyes locked onto the face, petrified by that ominous feeling. Instinctively he stands, reaching for a weapon on his hip, finding the comforting grip of his SOCOM. One fluid motion he draws and takes aim behind him.
