so just a little PSA from me in light of the recent twitch news about how lurkers are counted: - keep using your ad blockers - watch as many other streams as you'd like alongside mine While I'm grateful for the view count, please know I prioritize your watching experience over everything else.

so, if you see a post trying to make you feel responsible for why a vtuber is struggling, remember that while it's okay to be moved and want to help, also keep in mind that if it truly is a bad situation, they shouldn't be pushing that responsibility on you.

030

solfira ☄️🐼 || graduated @solfira.bsky.social · 24/09/2025

they have their own financial situations. while some people do have spare funds and wish to use that to support their fav streamers, it should never be expected nor should anyone feel entitled to it. this bond just ends up being bad for both sides in the long term.

solfira ☄️🐼 || graduated @solfira.bsky.social · 24/09/2025

even when I started, it didn't take long for me to start commissions. I also budgeted a lump sum of money as back-up funds and expected nothing. any money made from stream was fun money, not "I'm seriously in need of help" money. hedging your bet on your viewers is unfair. don't do that to them.

solfira ☄️🐼 || graduated @solfira.bsky.social · 24/09/2025

listen, i'm not gonna sit here and make the way the economy is going my community's problem. i think it's okay to ask for help, but there comes a point where some of these vtubers really need to be honest with themselves and get a job or find some sort of alternative extra income.

I've been severely lacking in the way I promote myself as a vtuber, and I hope this month I'll be able to get better at that!! Clips, Highlights, funny trends, tiktoks???, etc. I will be taking the opportunity to plan out how I can improve my streams and discoverability!

if you want your heart lifted, you need to at least watch up to the part where the guy uplifts his opposition in the cutest most endearing way ;w; what's better is that in part 2, miss ma'am also adorably uses the guy as part of her debate and he blushes so hard. i am weak, they are so cute ;w;

I got so frustrated watching a Jubilee "debate" that I went searching for competitive debaters. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hCq... Thank you Oxford Union for curing my brainrotted brain and showing me what debates actually look like.

the best part about watching videos from people who actually live in my local area means that when they showcase a cool product, there's an amazon.CA link which is great because every single amazon.COM link takes me nowhere 🫶🏻

like, I would want to research it more and not just talk outta my ass about it. it does fascinate me and tbh dives deeper into asian dating and asian cultures and how that's manifested and morphed within a western society and colonization and all that stuff, but also is it worth the effort??? idk

I saw a video talking about "Oxford study" and like I have so much to say on what I think is behind it, but also a lot of my thoughts are anecdotal and I don't want to get into whatever space "Oxford study" dives into if I even want to make a youtube rant video about it.
