I did a lil' music and sfx for the Global Game Jam 2026! With the coolest teammates and project! The inspiration was: black-and-white pixel art, kinda dark/grim/gothic/ominous - so of course some 8-bit VSTs and harmonic minor scales were in order. Check it out below 🫡

This is "Echec & Masque" ("Checkmask"), the game we made last weekend during the Global Game Jam. We chose to do a puzzle tactical version of chess, with black and white pixel art graphics. Very fun game to work on and I'm very proud of the result! #gamedev #indiegame #indiedev

Tutorial screen. It's in three parts, each with explanation text and an illustration explaining the gameplay.

A level. On the left is the main UI showing an open hand and 4 floating masks on top of it. The middle is an 8 by 10 checkerboard with castles, graves, rocks and grass decorations. There is one player piece wearing a knight mask, and two enemy pieces (in black) wearing a fool mask and a king mask.
