it’s been practically impossible to go near old marvel films because of da4 & I know it’ll just reinforce my theory that whole game was just a weird marvel film with worse dialogue like “evil God monsters” & "You're a mortal! You are a mortal & I am a fool.” (he has amnesia apparently)

#SolavellanWeek2026 Day 6 || Indigo [Serenity] La Mer - Debussy [There’s serenity in the fade for Solas, it’s home, and Inky experienced the Fade with Fen’Harel’s anchor and his magic. The parallels between the beauty & chaos of the Veil/Fade]. #dragonage

At this point NiNi Lavellan was on the verge of proposing to him because of his words, his counsel, and just being outrageously attractive here and has no business being so. 😅✋🏻

Solas at the Winter Palace continues to live rent free. He’s having an absolute ball and can barely contain his inner Fen’Harel. 🤭

#SolavellanWeek2026 Day 5 Turquoise/Magic Fen’Harel’s magic has such a duality of power. His magic heals and soothes the magic in his unruly anchor. His magic can liberate. His magic power can harm as well as heal, and his strength and emotions all play into that. #dragonage #solavellan

Solavellan Week Day 2 || Orange [Healing] •Mirror Parallels of Healing• #SolavellanWeek2026 #Solasvellan #DragonAge

In the beginning only Fen’Harel could soothe the anchor, but later in his friendship turned beloved with the Inquisitor, did he bring a new form of healing. A calm, patient wisdom, an antidote to the quiet loneliness and uncertainty that was Inky’s new life now bound to serve, forever a prisoner. Yet it was Solas who prevented them from corruption that comes with power, from the very mistakes he had made.

Inky is the mirror to Solas who was also bound to serve and later corrupted, twisted and condemned to being a demon. Solas was always a slave & a prisoner, a victim of the Evanuris and of himself. Lavellan brings a sense of freedom, hope, and a soothing balm that can ease the thousands of years of pain, torment, and suffering. The occasions he was almost* assaulted used as a punchline to a joke.

This isn’t with “hugs” or claiming he’s “misunderstood” Inky knows exactly who and what Solas is, and that’s why they love him, and why Solas loves them. And they will be the only one to bring healing.

When Solas says “we shouldn’t,” after the smooches makes one wonder what else he had mind. 🤭 Just Solavellan shenanigans.

NiNi (Ninetta) Lavellan - main DA OC & the last one. ✨ The incident at the Chantry + the anchor stripped the color from her once black hair. Mage, once spy for her clan, reluctantly turned Inky, stubbornly refuses to follow the status quo.

Inky Lavellan truly is a mirror of Solas/Fen’Harel here because they’re literally saying “I’ll do anything to protect you from captivity.” 1) Solas would do exactly the same. 2) Nobody offered Solas that in his life of being Mythal’s slave & being a revolutionary rebellion army.

One can adore a fictional character while acknowledging they’re an antagonist &/or a villain. Take Solas, his actions revealed in Trespasser are objectively evil, & he doesn’t deny them either. It hits hard if Solavellan. Leaving them to die with his anchor for 2 years. He says who he really is:

I absolutely love the origins story for jolly co-op in Soulsborne games, & Elden Ring where you can summon a phantom or two to help on your journey. It’s so simple & neat that can enhance the gaming experience. And it all came from Miyazaki getting help from strangers when stuck in the ice. :’)

Every time I think of what the Lighthouse was built & used for and then we had dialogue like this and it’s so tacky. “Imagine the look on Solas’s face if we turned his safe haven for free slaves & refugees into an air bnb party venue that’ll show him.” 🫠
