Made a new cover and thumbnail for Solaris! Solaris is a Romance Fantasy webcomic about Adelina trying to save her kingdom while navigating her relationship with Pyros after their souls become bound together. You can read it on Webtoon, Comic Fury and Namcomi: linktr.ee/GGbecca

I think the update tomorrow will be the last I do on Tapas, I've been uploading Solaris there since 2016 so it's sad to see it go, but I'll be focusing on getting my Comic Fury mirror up to date and maybe even look into making the site look less basic while I'm at it.

I wrote him to be difficult to like, from this page it’s clear he’s violent and has a temper. He’s also greedy, a vampire who doesn’t fight his urges to feed.

He is their captor so definitely not an ally!

I completely agree! I love when I’m writing to try and tie those threads together, my original outline likely focused on the overall plot first with the emotional beats coming in later drafts

“What happens if he never finds the words” would be a shame if that was to happen in my slow burn romance 😈 but in this case he just needs a little processing time, my next update we get a little more insight into his thoughts!

GGbecca @solariscomic.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Very much deliberate, Pyros is struggling to articulate how he feels here. As a character he’s not one to speak before he knows what he’s going to say which sometimes means silence is the only response he is willing to give.

GGbecca @solariscomic.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

I like to think of this as a mini character arc for Adelina, her letting go of hatred and learning from her mistakes is important both in her role as Queen and in her relationship to Pyros. However her change in mindset is not likely to be shared by the rest of her council…
