It's even worse than I imagined.

The Education of a Libertarian
Peter Thiel • April 13, 2009 •

I remain committed to the faith of my teenage years: to authentic human freedom as a precondition for the highest good. I stand against confiscatory taxes, totalitarian collectives, and the ideology of the inevitability of the death of every individual. For all these reasons, I still call myself “libertarian.”

But I must confess that over the last two decades, I have changed radically on the question of how to achieve these goals. Most importantly, I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible. By tracing out the development of my thinking, I hope to frame some of the challenges faced by all classical liberals today.

With the sentence "I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible" highlighted

The Wikipedia page about "False or misleading statements by Donald Trump" is so long that Wikipedia contributors are discussing to split it for legibility. This is hilarious and very sad at the same time.
Screenshot from the Wikipedia page "False or misleading statements by Donald Trump" with two cards on top stating:

It has been suggested that this article be split out into articles titled False or misleading statements by Donald Trump (first term), False or misleading statements by Donald Trump (between terms) and False or misleading statements by Donald Trump (second term). (Discuss) (October 2025)

This article may be too long to read and navigate comfortably. Consider splitting content into sub-articles, condensing it, or adding subheadings. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page. (September 2024)

Let's start sharing a few posters/papers I found interesting at #RecSys this year. 1. Leveraging Geometric Insights in Hyperbolic Triplet Loss for Improved Recommendations Very interesting. Some further work needed to convince me 100%, like a Figure 2 but for the original Euclidian Triplet Loss.

Took less than 10 minutes (on the actual clock) including downloading the original image and font. No gen AI required. 100% human work.

4 updates every 30 minutes saying "our team if still working on identifying the source of the issue" in slightly different phrasing.

Rough correlation, but not perfect. I use mlflow + pynvml to measure this. mlflow.org/docs/latest/...

I've been using this #tool for years, but I think more people should know about it. It makes it easy to find a #LaTeX symbol in a few seconds! #TeXLaTeX 🔗 detexify.kirelabs.org/classify.html
