Had a lot of fun sourcing public domain images for this one! A reluctant assassin captured by the seditious Boundary Warden she’s sent to kill. He wants to wield her to stop a war. She needs to escape before her necroblade devours her soul. #A #F #DVparty

Image is a grid of seven images: The top panel is a single image depicting the stages of lunar eclipse, entitled Moon, Sun, & Universe by Mark Tegethoff (@tegethoff). Below, the middle panel contains three images: on the left, a white and blue smoke figure by Mulyadi (@mulyadi); in the centre, an ornate silver dagger on a wooden table by Vlad Markov (@vades36); on the right, a woman, eyes closed, face tilted upward, her face streaming in ghostly layers by Tom Frances Palattao (@tomfps). The bottom layer also contains three images: on the left, a grey and white whole with amber eyes, by Chris Ensminger (@viramedio); in the centre, a mossy path through a dark and foggy evergreen forest, by Marvin Zettl (@nirvamo); on the right, a dark stormy sky overtop of ocean waves, with a veining lightning bolt descending to the water, by Clayton Malquist (@cmalquist).

That delicious feeling when you realize you're reading one of your new all-time favourites. "We are magnificent."

#DVparty Day 6: WIP Contemporary paranormal suspense set on Vancouver Island, where the wind beckons with secrets the water cannot keep. (Image taken by me in Ross Bay Cemetery, Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.)

Image is a close-up of a cracked dark grey paved path, strewn with dry pine needles and curling pale brown leafs of various shapes and sizes. The left side of the image is lighter, and the leafs cast long shadows toward the right. A thin brown box border the same colour of the leafs surrounds the image, with the photographer tag of SolaceSylum.com in small lettering centred at the bottom.

#DVparty #A #F 🩹 She's a part-time medic, full-time sneak 🗡️ bound to a sentient necroblade. 🐺 He's supposed to keep magic on the far side of the Boundary, 🖤 but being a conduit for her mana is addictive. ⚔️ He needs her for revenge. 💔 She just wants to be free. 💀 Blood or soul, the blade will feed.

A series of nine images, three rows of three. Upper row: A ghostly shadow in the mist; a hooded young woman glancing over her right shoulder with a determined expression; an astronomical clock brightly-lit by sunlight. Middle row: A masked thief in a dark room stealing a red amulet; a silver dagger with a ruby eye on a black background; a female mage with long hair half-disappearing into blue magic as she sneaks up on a guard in a castle hallway. Bottom row: A glowing blue magical circle containing stars, moons, and runes, set against a black background; a cloaked male warrior on a horse with fire glowing in its cheeks, in a foggy forest; an eerily twisted and leafless tree back-lit by a green-glowing sky.
