Now that’s it’s October, its time for my annual rewatch of the autumnal masterpiece, Over the Garden Wall. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. It’s streaming on Hulu and Amazon Prime. youtu.be/uhMtwvHelh0?...

I have to say, the new photo clean feature in iOS 27 works surprisingly well.

I despise all the AI advertisements being created on social media. Unrealistic food and the same dumb fonts. I recently found an old ad from my hometown created in 1968. Block text and a jaunty hand- drawn pizza chef. So simple and it works. Can we go back to $1 smorgasbords?

There is a lot of problems and discourse in this country about affordability and the $20 burrito, but in the 80’s you could make 4 meat sandwiches for under a dollar.

I can almost smell the vinyl plastic. Regardless of whatever character I choose to go as, there was a 80% chance I would be wearing a coat over it.

Recently while watching a Japan walking tour video, I spied saw a familiar sign in a Tokyo shopping district. Camera pans over and it’s a Shakey’s Pizza! Turns out they have 12 locations in Japan. BTW- these videos are incredibly calming and is nice to fall asleep to.

The Weather Channel has a retro setting to the website and their phone app. I can now listen to some awesome early 90’s smooth jazz as I stress over severe weather. weather.com/retro/

Every time there is a snowstorm, Virtual Railfan put up a video where it rotates cam rotations in areas that are getting snow. My favorite is the Fort Madison cams. It’s nice to have it on in the background while I do other things. www.youtube.com/live/iuCxo4q...

Went to a train show today and one of the modules modeled the transcontinental Golden Spike ceremony in N scale which is very small.

Well in lighter news, I got an email from Spotify to let me know that Burt Bacharach is going on tour despite dying in 2023. A quick search yields that this actually the name of a metal band. 😄

Tonight while making dinner, I read a post about B2s were being refueled over Hawaii. Ate dinner while watching Jaws. Afterwards I grabbed and my phone and I guess we started a war. Good god.

A new Star Wars novel came today- Reign of the Empire. Taking place after the events of Episode 3 it’s the first in a trilogy of books. Can't wait to dig in, although it's seems rather prescient considering our current state.

This graphic showing the most popular fast food in each state, which was clearly created for engagement farming, is so out of whack. I had to look up Qdoba and they’re only two locations in Iowa. And Jersey Mikes everywhere including Wisconsin, the land of Culver’s is criminal. 🤷‍♂️
