I may be biased but honestly, this North End Christmas jumper is way better than it has any right to be. Beautiful #pne #pnefc

Sorting out the loft, came across an old video of PNE v Blackpool. 1-0 victory in the 1994 FA Cup thanks to a Super Mickey Conroy goal with the old West Stand in the background and the fans on the old Town End going mental (including me, somewhere!). Glorious #pne #pnefc youtu.be/VrKN3_LNaDI?...

Yeah well unfortunately, the kids get more chance to listen than me, so top song was Waka Waka! 🤣

Great album. Very different than the debut but equally as good. Rolling skating jam, rung ring ring and millie pulled a pistol on santa the standouts

🤣 it must have looked right because I wrote the same!

Aww that's super cool. Loved CTP back in the day. Gutted when they split.

Biden pardoning his son is shameful. Either he's guilty so Biden has let off a criminal or he's innocent but Biden has zero trust in a justice system he's overseen for 4 years.

S*M*A*S*H - Self Abused Now looked down upon for being hailed as new kings with the so-called New Wave Of New Wave but promptly ditched when Britpop arrived. I love the debut. Very punk and noisy but also stripped back. Production famously "muddy". Oddly not on streaming youtu.be/pY6F0o6aDxg?...

It strikes me as an earlier version of - and please, lovers of the artwork, don't take offence - Hard Fi's Stars Of CCTV. Re-purposing something that exists as artwork. Plus they're both yellow 😜

SOJB @sojb.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

I do, unfortunately. It's one of 2 songs my mum would sing on repeat AT me. Along with Morning Has Broken while flinging open my bedroom curtains at an ungodly hour. #ScarredChildhood 🤣

I missed this yesterday BUT let's play... Day 23: Metal #LyricsPrompt #LyricsPrompt2024 Paolo Nutini - Pencil Full Of Lead Lead is a heavy metal. BUT I chose it because my parents went to watch him - their first gig in 40 years - and said it was as loud as heavy metal 🤣 youtu.be/AFsLkxLAVM4?...

SOJB @sojb.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

Yeah, not at all what I was expecting after Test Icicles. Especially considering we were right in the thick of the whole post-punk revival thing. Just seemed very strange

SOJB @sojb.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

I think I tried it once and was rather bemused and not what I was expecting 😄 should I revisit?

Haha, yes! I love a good crisis and being a North End fan, there's usually one not far away 🤣 I particularly recall one that was bright yellow and had a list of all the transfers in/out showing we were rolling in money! Might have been the night of the sit-down protest outside the Pavilion

Day 20: Open #LyricsPrompt #LyricsPrompt2024 OK, so my first thought - Love Is An Open Door (Disney's Frozen) has gone, so how about Black Moon - I Gotcha Opin "Don't front, you know I got you Open, kid". Now if I had control of our Spotify... pesky kids! youtu.be/95ZxyiqtFi4?...
