Is using 67 AI agents better than 12 or 4? My LinkedIn feed is full of these humble brags.

338 is at an Idiocracy-level of ads. <slowly backs away>
90% ads, with ads on top of ads

Can’t believe I’m about to watch some hockey tonight. (By “some”, I mean it’ll be the only 4 minutes I’ve spent watching hockey since WordPerfect was a thing.) #4nations

Tried Le Chat to give you additional data points. You’re there.

I’ve lacked time to play with all the new toys but am installing Le Chat now and giving it a whirl. On one hand, I feel like it’s coming in late but, on the other, we saw how quickly DeepSeek built momentum. We’re starting an era where chatbot differentiation is getting harder to market.

Pumped that I’ll be getting between $0.50 and $2.50 in Uber Eats coupons following a class action settlement in Quebec! Gonna blow this windfall on some delicious beavertails!

Been enjoying time learning new languages (python and Spanish) these past few months. Feels like a productive use of my time and a good way to stay away from doomscrolling! Hope the snow melts soon to start running again!

Examples I just did right now. I have PTSD from my previous battles to avoid it writing garbage text on an image I had requested.

Here's my prediction of changes to ads & social due to LLMs. Who we trust is about to change. The virtual life-of-the-party will play a pivotal role. There's a business opportunity for tools to identify them, maintain small closed communities around them and help them monetize their efforts.
# My attempt at reading the future:
* Search will move to LLMs, as they’re 10x better.
* Attribution & ads will be woven into LLM outputs.
* SEO will focus on feeding content to LLMs.
* Social media will play a key role in feeding LLMs (ex: reddit selling data to openai).
* Bots will flood social platforms.
* Trust in public social network content will fall.
* Trust in large-scale influencers will evaporate.
* People will distrust one-to-many communication channels.
* Small (<=42), closed chat groups with known peers (ex: whatsapp or discord) will dominate.
* Hunting for active, resonant groups will become essential.
* Groups only thrive when the right ratios of personas are present.
* Good communicators with novel ideas on a wide range of topics will thus be crucial.
* They will drive the future of commercialization.

I need to break out a thesaurus to properly define how I feel about the Blazor component lifecycle. Seems easy at first but when you start having a bunch of embedded components passing down parameters, listening to events from injected services or wondering why OnInitialized is fired twice….

Just completed my last 5k run of 2024! Walking/running was the best habit I picked up in the past 5 years. (Energy/mood/drive/wit) PS: Was a bit slower than usual due to the 10lbs poutine baby I picked up over the past week or so, but am happy we had awesome weather to conclude the year!

My plans to wear this during this year’s family gathering have been thwarted by Canada Post. Or maybe China Post. Not sure where it is. Maybe I’ll have it in time for Easter.

Interesting insights for #buildinpublic folks about SEO for AI crawlers. Fascinating to see overnight they’ve grown to 10% of the google crawler bot volume but they’re playing catchup on some of the features, like tactics to avoid 404s. vercel.com/blog/the-ris...

Here is what I meant for generic ingestion that makes it a useful feature for you. Not sure if the API would do the OCR directly or if you’d need to preprocess it tho

Context: I’m learning Spanish as a native French speaker where most words are very similar. Here’s an example of there’s one word I would want to exercise more on. But it’s going to bury this in dozens of easy words. Use case: uploads some ss, add all words and let me delete some afterwards

Interesting article in The Economist. Survey of 160k people age 16-65. 31 countries. 20% perform at or worse than a 10 year old. Kinda wild.

In addition to learning Python, I’ve been working on my Spanish. Just finished the A1-level content on duolingo. The app isn’t sufficient to fully learn a new language but it did cut down on my doomscrolling hours.

Haven’t been here long but what I appreciate most is seeing real people comment. (Well, not on my posts as I only have 3 followers) I’m kind of expecting the authenticity to drop as the network grows and more tools get created to automate posts but at least it’s a refreshing moment in time.
