If the world is snowy, "dressing" me to keep me warm helps feed into that feeling that you're providing a means of safety for me. If I do something while scared despite my fear, praising me for being brave makes me feel happy and proud of myself. I'll probably post more of this in my server.

If you are caretaking for me, helping me "dress" or "undress" in VR is also a littlespace trigger. Helping me take on or off my onesie, or putting my overalls on makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. It helps to reinforce the idea that I'm not big enough to dress myself yet.🧵

If the meetup is a social gathering, talking to me as if I was a child helps get me into littlespace. Praising me for simple things, like coloring, solving children's activity puzzles, and taking me along with you to do things creates that sense of dependence and comfort that makes me feel small.

I used to see my own worth by measuring what I could accomplish in comparison to others. Comparison is the thief of joy. Make things for the sake of making them. Do something because it brings you joy. Trying to exclusively please others with your talents will burn you out.

I grew up seeing myself as broken, flawed, and never really fitting in. My happiest days in life where when I was a toddler and before I got bullied for being Neurodivergent. I was tested at 12 for autism, but the older I get the more I think I might be autistic but really good at masking.🧵

Being Neurodivergent, I often was told in my younger years that I could be a "bit much", so I would isolate, keep to myself, rather than ever risk rejection. It was hard to control those manic ADHD bursts of chaotic energy. Making people laugh and smile made me feel better about being different.🧵

The fucking brain slug worm things in Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. Seeing them go into someone's ear and make shrieking noises fucked me up as a kid. It also had me removing the skin off of any fried chicken I ate for weeks because the slug things looked like fried chicken skins texture wise.
