Rough doodles of three higher gods in sodapone's OC lore: Polari, Terra, and Nihil. All three have humanoid and true forms.

$Polari A goddess who embodies all potential outcomes, material and immaterial. She influences the thoughts and actions of all living beings into drawing out their full potential and becoming the best they can be. Humanoid form: Golden blonde with a long, braided ponytail and multiple eight-pointed stars as decorations on it. Clad in a form-fitting dress that goes to the knees, with an eight-pointed star as a brooch. A bright light is always seen behind her head, similar to a halo. Blue eyes with eight-pointed gold stars in them. True form: A blindingly bright light sat atop an obelisk covered in eyes. May also appear as a bright light atop anything sufficiently tall relative to the viewer, such as mountains or skyscrapers. Terra A goddess who embodies all the beauty found in the universe. While she is beautiful to behold, she can drive those who are influenced by her to madness with how vast and endless yet transient the beauty she embodies can be. Humanoid form: Shoulder-length, neatly-kept brown hair. Wears a royal blue dress with a train; this dress has incredibly intricate patterns which when zoomed into reveal even more intricate patterns, like a fractal. Eyes are always kept closed. True form: A portal to a vast landscape comprised of endless, infinitesimally small details. Nihil A deity who embodies everything and nothing at the same time. Goes by many, many names: The grim reaper, Satan, Yama, Hades, Izanami, but they personally see these human perspectives on them as reductive. All that exists in the universe once belonged to Nihil, and one day all shall return to them. Humanoid form: Short black hair with bangs covering one eye. Wears a cloak that covers their entire top half down to their thighs. Underneath the cloak is a true black donut-shaped void; staring at this void can cause a hypnotic trance. Wears thigh-highs with calf boots. True form: A true black donut-shaped (or should I say bagel-shaped?) void that reflects no light at all.$

When humans look at the stars, they draw invisible lines between them. It's instinctive--a pattern-seeking program burned into our brains by millions of years of evolution.
When humans put enough of these lines together, they make shapes. It takes some imagination, but those shapes can be seen as various things, animals, or people. That's a constellation.
Life as a human involves going between a lot of high and low points. You remember those points--you don’t so easily remember the in-between.
Sometimes, when you gather enough of these memories, you can see a connecting line between all of them. This event wouldn't have happened if this event didn't happen before it, and so on.
So often are we struggling to figure out what it is we’re meant to do with our lives. We enter this world not knowing anything, not understanding how to do anything, and while we're taught how the world works, we aren't so easily taught how to do things and achieve our own goals.
That's because everyone has their own personal journey. Everyone has their own series of high and low points in life that define who they are, and since only they know what each of those points are, they're the only ones who can figure it out for themselves.
And that's the hard part.
Connecting the dots never makes sense looking forward.
It only makes sense looking backwards.
It's only when you look at the whole that you can see how the patterns come together and you can appreciate the beautiful constellation you’ve made.
When I look at the stars, I'm reminded of that process.
That's why I like the stars.

chilliwack exclusion zone update: a truce has been signed and cleanup has begun really this should've ended with the main two dipshits who started this getting banned so everyone could clean up organically, but with wplace moderation being worse than useless i guess this is the best we can hope for

A truce signed by all players involved in the Chilliwack Void Incident, underneath a fixed flag of the city. One of the signatories has ordered an immediate cleanup of the area. A "Justice 4 Megu" memorial sits next to the flag.

update on the chilliwack void: they have built a perimeter line and somehow the void is respecting it somebody also jokingly made "chilnobyl", the source of the void—the real source is by cultus lake however the war between/collective punishment from this one guy and the rest of the city rages on

it's funny... the ending was a complete reversal of how she felt and how i felt at the start. here i am wallowing in a single defeat out of a mindboggling number of victories, and she's happy because she knows she can still win. thank you, nice nature. one day, we will get that fairy tale ending.
