My kettle is getting a workout today as I try to keep the birds in non-frozen water. It's rewarding to see them flock to the bowls after I refresh the water. My job is out of control lately and this makes me feel like I'm doing something good in the world.

This little friend is a northern flicker and it stopped by the bunnies' water bowl. Gemini says it's a female. She also seems to like my new tray feeder. Less fun is the hawk I didn't manage to grab a pic of earlier. We've had two birds die on my porch this year. I don't need more.

No answers yet on the kidney stone, but I have a CT this afternoon. (Mercy came through with a same day appt... love them for that.) I bought the pink ones on the way home and came home to the yellow ones. We had also bought each other donuts and I got him a plant. Just disgustingly adorable. 😍

I think you could make an argument for Phil Spector being the dumbest person of all time. Firstly, he fumbled that goddess Ronnie. He created magic and then threw it all away by being a terrible person who hurt women. Truly infuriating, but at least he can't do it again.
