While I wish ASCs were 100% social science 😜, one of my favourite things about them is stepping out of my comfort zone. I was truly fascinated to learn more about marine sand and its extraction. Annelies de Backer brilliantly told us how sand extraction disturbs food web dynamics. #ICESASC25

Marine biodiversity is thriving beneath offshore mussel farms in the UK. Eating locally grown mussels is not just part of our #FoodSecurity but is environmentally beneficial. Great keynote from Llucia Mascorda-Cabre at #ICESASC25.
